Say folks, A request if you would: Anyone who does get a response from Huawei concerning a custom sword order, let the rest of us know. At least it would be reassuring the rest of us that Huawei is alive and well. RinC (I got to admit, if I knew of a Huawei quality sword source at equivalent prices, I'd be very tempted to take a look at the other source and cancel my custom order with Huawei and place the order with the other source. I really wish Huawei would get a customer service person. Seems they take the order and then put the order on some kind of FIFO stack. Maybe their site could have a small news section?

Yeesh, these wait times are a bit much. I haven't bought a Huawei in awhile (whoah, I actually just typed that), but if I had I'd chime in about wait times, etc.
I second you, Robert, Huawei makes great swords, but this lack of communication would be driving me nuts. Hopefully Jacky gets back to you soon.

My guess with Huawei, is that it takes a customer's custom order and then takes no more action until it is ready to start the order...which is when the custom order(s) ahead of this newer order are done. Typical of a small operation...FIFO..."one custom sword or so at a time". My guess. Not excusing Huawei's lack of customer responsiveness....but throwing out a theory. RinC (be nice if Huawei would do something like: "You are special order #5" and then send an update when the customer is #$, etc. Assuming Huawei has time. As is, dealing with Huawei on a custom, one must have a lot of patience since one's custom order seems to stay inactive until Huawei is ready to do it.

Huawei's ebay page still works for me. I noticed on the listing page that on the "shipping and payments" section, the shipping says "worldwide", but excludes a huge number of countries, including Finland. Maybe this is part of the problem? (I tried attaching a screenshot but to no avail) Shipping and handling Item location: 323700, China Shipping to: Worldwide Excludes: New Zealand, Fiji, Papua New Guinea, Guadeloupe, Marshall Islands, Wallis and Futuna, Gambia, Malaysia, Mayotte, Taiwan, Poland, Suriname, Oman, Kenya, United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Middle East, Guinea-Bissau, Togo, Senegal, Armenia, Bhutan, Uzbekistan, Ireland, Qatar, Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas), Netherlands, Burundi, Slovakia, Iraq, Equatorial Guinea, Slovenia, Thailand, Aruba, American Samoa, Sweden, Iceland, Macedonia, Liechtenstein, Israel, Kuwait, Belgium, Algeria, Benin, Russian Federation, Antigua and Barbuda, Italy, Swaziland, Pakistan, Tanzania, Ukraine, Burkina Faso, Panama, Jersey, Kyrgyzstan, Switzerland, Reunion, Djibouti, Chile, Puerto Rico, China, Mali, Croatia, Republic of, Botswana, Cambodia, Portugal, Indonesia, Malta, Tajikistan, Vietnam, Paraguay, Cayman Islands, Saint Helena, Cyprus, Rwanda, Seychelles, Bangladesh, Austria, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, Gabon Republic, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Côte d'Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Norway, Kiribati, Turkmenistan, Greece, Grenada, Haiti, Greenland, Yemen, Afghanistan, Montenegro, Africa, Mongolia, Nepal, Bahrain, Bahamas, Svalbard and Jan Mayen, Dominica, Hungary, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Angola, South America, Western Samoa, Mozambique, Namibia, Peru, Central America and Caribbean, Guatemala, Denmark, Vatican City State, Solomon Islands, Sierra Leone, Nauru, French Guiana, Anguilla, El Salvador, Guam, Micronesia, Dominican Republic, Cameroon, Guyana, Azerbaijan Republic, Macau, Georgia, Tonga, New Caledonia, San Marino, Eritrea, Morocco, Saint Kitts-Nevis, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Belarus, Mauritania, Belize, Philippines, Uruguay, Congo, Democratic Republic of the, Western Sahara, Congo, Republic of the, French Polynesia, Cook Islands, Colombia, Comoros, Estonia, Bermuda, Montserrat, Korea, South, Zambia, Somalia, Vanuatu, Ecuador, Albania, Monaco, Guernsey, Ethiopia, Laos, Niger, Venezuela, Ghana, Cape Verde Islands, Moldova, Martinique, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, Madagascar, Lebanon, Liberia, Bolivia, Maldives, Gibraltar, Libya, Central African Republic, Lesotho, Nigeria, Saint Lucia, Mauritius, Guinea, Jordan, British Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands, Chad, Andorra, Romania, Costa Rica, India, Mexico, Serbia, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Netherlands Antilles, Japan, Lithuania, Trinidad and Tobago, Palau, Malawi, Nicaragua, Finland, Tunisia, Luxembourg, Uganda, Brazil, Turkey, Barbados, Tuvalu, Jamaica, Latvia, Egypt, Niue, Brunei Darussalam, Honduras, Virgin Islands (U.S.), South Africa

About 3 more messages, including a "Did you forget about me?" (all polite....I am always polite), but still no response. Am starting to wonder if Jackie is ok. Great China-made swords, good prices....but the responsiveness of the customer service? Pretty bad. Makes me want to start looking elsewhere, even though I don't really want to. Frustrating to go months and months with no response to polite special order status requests. RinC Anyone got both Huawei and SinoSword? My favorite DH 1095 mono beater is a 28 1/2" Wang-Katana2011 ($200usa)...but it is a clear step below my Huawei's. Got to admit I regret selling my best Huawei katana (to help finance my current Huawei custom order)...didn't think it would be this bad a lack of communication.

Sinosword ebay link? (can't find a given maker via the ebay search function) Someone said Sinosword tsukas are "axe-like"? Huawei tsukas are more tapered...Huawei seem to do things right (other than terrible customer response). Except for my last Huawei (a wakizashi where the q.c. of all fittings was sub-par...loose tsuka-ito, poorly done mekugi ana, a lot of blade in saya rattle...previous 3 Huawei's before that were finest workmanship...made me think they lost their best furniture person and they got someone of less ability to cover the gap...that was when Jackie was politely trying to tell me I did not need a new sword...puzzling at the time...but in hindsight, I suspect Jackie was trying to warn me off until they got a skilled replacement furniture person). RinC
