Cool illustration - and yes, it has taken a while to settle on its final form/size but I think that with the Tuath De story taking shape about a race of unique, silver haired sleight of build people and the sword in one hand and a shield to protect their relatively frail bodies makes for one great tale in the telling. The specs have been submitted to the forge, will keep you posted if they have any questions or need some additional feedback/info. So elves? Dats cool I dig it

Paul, Another thing you could do is have the scabbard stained, and kind of on the boxy side, like filipino sword scabbards usually are, to save on production. But leather wrap is better

Yeah, kind of elves - elfin or fay, they are indeed a unique peoples..!
With regards to the scabbard, yeah - leather is better. With these swords I will not be making them to budget but rather to spec. This may make some of the swords more expensive depending on how hard they are to make, but I want these swords to be top of the line in terms of quality first and price, will be what it costs plus a modest profit to reinvest in more designs and production runs that is the same for each model.
Still waiting on the quotes and more feedback from the forge, but slowly slowly wins the race.
