So the "thing" can be something in possession of one of "us" without knowledge, hidden in another dimension, our world. And you can bring a Windlass to a swordfight. Oh you mean Trapped in another world stories? (in anime, it's referred to as Isekai). I used to like them, but after watching so many series with so much potential turned into cliche storms and harem stories, I'm kinda pessimistic regarding any Isekai stories in publication. However... Instead of a person, why not an object? like the old movie The Gods Must be Crazy a lot of silliness can happen when inhabitants of that particular world try to figure out just what the "thing" is and how it works/is used. |

Much stuff since Gulliver's Travels, Alice, Peter Pan, Time Machine to Buck Rogers, Farscape or even Hogwards, etc. etc. etc.

I'm SERIOUSLY considering making Moya an entry in the beastiary!! For Non-Farscape fans, Moya was a living, bio-mechanical "spaceship" that the heros of the story traveled from world to world on. Theeeeen she gave birth to Talyn.....the baddest Arse weapon enhanced bio mechanical, living ship EVER!!
