I just bought this. Your review and YouTube demo clinched it for me. Thanks for the heads-up! 👍 Enjoy The poignard arrived today, a mere 63.5 hours after hitting the "buy" button. Unsharpened blade is perfect and grip is very attractive, little shallow spot of rust on the pommel and some serious, but localized, rust on the locket. It didn't look like the scabbard had ever been unwrapped. I was going to post here to recommend someone buy up any remaining units, but they're all sold out

The poignard arrived today, a mere 63.5 hours after hitting the "buy" button. Unsharpened blade is perfect and grip is very attractive, little shallow spot of rust on the pommel and some serious, but localized, rust on the locket. It didn't look like the scabbard had ever been unwrapped. I was going to post here to recommend someone buy up any remaining units, but they're all sold out :( It sounds like you like it. It’s a jewel and next to my 1850 Bowie my favourite. Sorry about the rust. These have been discontinued for awhile now and I assumed these were of old stock, but unsure of the condition. The price I saw originally was $40. On rechecking later he had added on more dagger and reduced the price to $35. At that point I started to order and got as far as the “send” button and stopped. His price plus shipping was $50. By the time I imported it I estimated my cost at $80-90. Since I already have one I thought it best to save the money and put it towards next month’s Black Friday sales. I’ve been eyeing something for some time now and a sale price may very well cause me to pull the trigger. Just hope they don’t sell out before then.

A little too perfect no? I do not think it is original. The "patina" looks forced and the lines too clean and solid.

Thanks, Jordan. That was one thing that stood out to my uneducated eyes as seeming a bit off was how crisp the lines were. Esp. the central ridge. Admittedly, the point does look kind of rounded/chipped/imperfect.
I agree, it does seem a little too good to be true, though. Thanks again, Jordan. Eager to see if any one else differs in their opinion.

www.ebay.com/itm/ 303335520736?ViewItem=&item=303335520736 i dont want to link to this directly, because im paranoid about the pawn shop seeing links from here and screw pawn shops making more money
this is a real Bura (retired kami/smith) khurkuri from Himalayan Imports, for not very much. amusingly, someone painted fake rivets on it in a childlike attempt to make it look like it has a full sandwich style tang. i would buy it if i didnt already have a good Bura blade

I actually had been handed one of the sculpted M Tech examples at an event a few weeks ago. The lass sporting her beau in tethers showed me her knife. That one was gold anodized but with the same sculpted blade look. She would only "allow" her man in tow to purchase an old Boker ceramic gentleman's vest pocket knife. Something about not trusting her boyfriend yet? ?? At any rate, some ladies seem to be into blades, as shown below here at the tables in September. "I like expensive stuff" from this quite young window shopper. "Got any made of Valyrian steel?" muses the lady hefting an m1832 foot artillery gladius. Cheers GC

The expression on her guy friend’s face seems to confirm. Lol

The two youngsters are brother and sister from the archery company family.
I don't have a shot of the femme that had the gold M Tech, she was painted and costumed, very elf meets Elton John. Three or four ear piercings, nose and tongue.
