As Mr Trim has posted a request for discussion of His next offering to us....
"The next SBG/AT sale will be different though, swords will be done, before the "Sale" actually starts......... however, if someone wants to start a thread in the European swords discussion forum, we can discuss which sword to make later this summer....."
Thank you for the offer.
I for 1 am definitely interested.
Mr. Trim is it possible to do a long sword? Or possibly a saber?

I'm not attempting to answer for Gus, but bear in mind that his longswords usually run about... ?maybe $60-125 more than his single handers?... A longsword might be too much to ask for. Just pondering... I have a couple of his single handers that might be good candidates. I would submit for your consideration:
- AT1557 Type XVIII arming sword
- AT1571SH single hand saber
- Maybe a simplified version of one of the Maker's Mark Type XIIs
- I'd love to see one of the heavier single handers like the 1429
- Or a sharp version of the VA Practical Blunt Arming Sword
Just some thoughts to get the ball rolling...

I like his maker's mark type XII with the flared shoulder a lot.
The other one of his I like is the AT-1521...but I doubt that's gonna happen...oh well.

I guess the Model 1313 would be out of our range also. Too bad.
That 1429 looks really nice.
Would it be possible to get a list of those that would be in our price range from the ATrim site? Being a newb it is hard to know which ones are within our grasp.

Would it be possible for him to do something like one of his LPM sabres for us in single hand? I would have to get in on that if he were going to.

I've always wanted one of his LPM blades, married to a basket would be favourite but since that ain't happening any time soon I can go on dreaming.

Just me guessing...
But I think all the LPM models are built on 5/16" stock. I think that would blow us out of the $300 price range. But I hope not.

I'd really only be interested in a type Xa or an XI. Unfortunately it appears I am alone in this! Whatever the offering, I'm defintely interested in seeing where the idea goes. I was very impressed with the SBG 1315 (though I didnt get the chance to own one).

I'm anxious to see where this goes, though I'm not sure I'll be able to participate this time. I love my SBG 1315, though, and would like to add more of Mr. Trim's work to my collection. I'm not nearly as picky as the rest of you seem to be, so I'll be watching without much input this time around. Of course, should I happen to find myself able to reserve a slot, I most certainly intend to do so.

If it is an authentic ATrim sharpened sword then count me in. Count me as not picky, too.

I am in as well. I have one Atrim sword and only have great things to say about the blade. Its a true bottle slayer or what ever else you feel like practicing on.

Count me in. A single handed saber gets my vote, but a regular arming sword would float my boat, to so Angus can't really do wrong here.

If I can get the money together I would love an arming sword but I'd really go for just about anything.

depending on when it becomes available and what it is I will jump in. I just have to make sure I can afford it after buying Kokoro Ichi. I want to buy one good western sword before I'm done buying swords and start making them. that gives me about the next 3 years to pick the sword I want. I will be looking for an arming, longsword, or maybe a good viking. just not quite yet.

I am partial to the 1429, the 1315, the 1506, 1592,and the 1313. I don't like the way most of the guards flare out near the ends which is why I picked the above with the exception of 1506 and 1313 which I picked because I would like something different with a narrow blade.

Just a point to consider... All the ATrims can be easily dismounted, and the guards ground to just about any shape, as long as there's enough metal there to start with. For instance, my 1312 started out with a wide, fat bowtie guard. But with about 15 minutes of grinding it looks like this:
