I was looking for the 1312 on the website but didnt find it. I really like the 1313. I'll need one sooner or later so maybe it's time to get a bench grinder just in case. The models with the bowtie guards just look bulky and unbalanced.

So what is the deal with this one? Will Angus chime in on it if there is enough interest? Like the Kokoro Ichi there has to be some commitment from people to buy. What's the tally for the number of people interested so far?

Yeah, there are LOTS of designs Gus has built that aren't on the website. He's probably built 2-3 times as many that aren't there as that are. The 1313 is a favorite of mine too. I almost got one a while back on the used market, but was outbid by someone who's probably smarter than me. I understand that the AT/CF Borderwatch is based on the 1313. If so, it's got to be one of the top swords Gus has ever built! Gus will probably jump in on the discussion later. Now he's staying off the computer and concentrating on winding up all the Sale swords.

Has anyone recieved their sword from the "pay off the damn machine sale "yet He told us he was shooting for february and they still aren't done yet?... or at least mine isn't. It may actually be a good idea for him to finish the swords before he has the sale this time. I just hope he finishes mine before this sales swords its already been double the time he said he expected to be done with the at 1566 I ordered. all i've heard is this pm he sent me 2 1/2 months ago. "The blades are thru heat treat, and as soon as the weather breaks a bit, I'll be grinding them. I have handles made and ground, now need pommels and guards........ " And thats all I really know, does anyone have any info that could help me ? that'd be awesome as mr trim is nearly impossible to get ahold of. Im not trying to hijack this thread either im just really reaching out here, thanks.

I'd put in a vote for a 1429....unless of course he'd open it up to the Maker's mark line Dan

A 1429 would get my vote too. That's a nice sword that handles well, but is almost the opposite of the 1315. A broad cutting type XII with a nice point. At 2 lbs 10 ozs it's heavy enough to have authority but still very fast in hand. A 1429 would be a great foundation for all kinds of cool custom swords as well. Good idea Dan!

that or the 1431 would be good for customizing too and I think it looks a little better.
