Michael is one of our best swordsmithes here in France. He's been directly taught by Japanese sensei. Never owned one of his blades, but I saw a couple of them with my own eyes - really impressive.

Yes, he's made some incredibly beautiful swords and being able to see them is another reason I love that I can connect with people all over the world via facebook.

i will get one of Michael's blades one of these days... maybe put aside 20 bucks each paycheck untill i get there. i saw one where he wrapped a tsuka with a nubuck ito....beautiful

Oh yeah that one! Awesome contrast with the white samegawa! I don't now if it's the kind of steel he uses or the polish he does, but his blades are looking different than any other I've seen. It's quite fantastic and jaw dropping!

he looks like he has a legit polishing station... and it was mentioned that he was taught by a authentic Japanese blacksmith.... i wouldn't be afraid to say that his stuff is probably some of the most authentic katana's out here selling in our price range (my price range i don't know how well off some of the other members are!)

Yes it doesn't have the tsuka on. I am in process of replacing the tsuba and redoing a tsuka core... Edit: Oh and don't worry, I don't use it that way
