With some other replies only a year old, this thread wasn't so far down the list. A lot of the participants in this thread are still shown as active in the past day (lurking), one may never know. As this thread is more of personal choices, there really hasn't been much errrm, intercourse (outside of this extended sidebar ) I'm more in line with William's response on the first page, as far as carry goes. Cheers GC

No holster, just a clip. On this Smith and Wesson Shield, sometimes I forget I have it on. Very light and super concealable. Without a jacket, I keep it right in front almost centered. If I'm wearing a jacket, it rides over my right hip. The Contego is new. I carried a Griptilian for a few years until just recently.

Most guns I carry OWB with leather belt & holster. The .380acp semi autos like Ruger/Kel-Tec, etc...you can carry any way you want (true pocket guns) and maybe even the Kel-Tec PF9. Just got a Sig P365 with duel safety and will carry in Desantis mini scabbard, and 12+1 rounds of 9mm in that small package is amazing.

Appendix sidecar style holster. AIWB. Great setup. Thinking about a shoulder holster for 1911's though!

Necromancy is a crime in some countries. fair enough, I have a bad habit of not looking at the date before I post. Whats the rule or general rule of thumb on necro posting? Some forums its a year others its a month and others dont really care? We don't really care, just keep your wits about you. I say to you againe, doe not call up Any that you can not put downe; by the Which I meane, Any that can in Turne call up somewhat against you, whereby your Powerfullest Devices may not be of use. Ask of the Lesser, lest the Greater shall not wish to Answer, and shall commande more than you.

At my primary residence I seldom carry anymore because there is as much to fear from the police and parapolice as from criminals. If I stay overnight in the countryside I carry, or if I go for a day trip in isolated areas I carry in the vehicle. I have greatly cut back my internal travel since the street fighting of last year and have no reason to go into town at night. I open carry a short machete on hikes, but these have mostly been dropped for the political situation. Although the fighting did not involve furriners, it is a time to lay low. For this reason I have given up on bringing any short swords down. The laws are fuzzy to begin with and the nail that sticks up gets pounded down.
When I am in AZ I have a pocket holster or I carry a holstered handgun on the passenger seat. I open carry on hikes where legal and usually have an OC sheath knife. AZ has Constitutional carry and open carry, but the exceptions to the law and federal/tribal lands are a severe limitation.

When I carried my Sig P229 I would carry it in a shoulder harness under my opposite side arm or a waist holster. But now with my S&W M&P Shield I usually just put it in a pants or jacket pocket or sometimes a belt holster. In the jacket pocket if need be I could shoot right through the pocket. I wouldn't do that in my pants pocket, to close to my family jewels.

Mine is a 40 S&W. The low light sights are great, want to put a set on my Sig P229 as well.

I've carried the Shield for almost 4 years now. It is a great little gun and I would not go back to carrying the Sig. Even the mags are highly concealable. I usually have two of the extended mags in a jacket pocket.

Glock 34 with tlr-1HL weapon light, mag well, and extended mag (lots of other mods too including my own stipple work) in appendix carry with an tier 1 axis slim holster, sometimes my black arch holster which is still appendix carry :) :) I'm almost 6'5 and 200lbs or so, so it works very well for me. I can usually get from holster to shots on target in sub 1 second accurately and consistently. Also, it's a lot harder for any to take from me in that position. Small of the back as well as even on my side, it is easier for people to try and take, and harder for me to defend if they do attempt. Cheers, Sal' of Jizamurai Customs Attachments:

Hunting/camping? sometimes. i carry a s&w 15-4 that's a 38spc built in 1970 n far better than newer guns. but often i just carry a 22lr, since that kills rattlers just fine.
i carry in a movie fast draw holster. not at all authentic, but i find it comfy n very fast
i live 3 miles from pavement so i shoot on my own property.
i only kill them if they come around the house. gotta do that because they don't always rattle before striking.

Thanks for the explanation. I totally understand the need to keep the house clear of snakes. I only buy pre-lock and pre mim S&W revolvers. Im a fan of the 629 Mountain guns, 686 19, 66, and the 28's.

you are a man of taste. the lock is an abomination. adding extra parts is stupid.
my 15-4 is the most accurate gun i have ever seen, as long as i use wad cutters. it occasionally gives me a one hole group at 25 yards.
