Here's my trinity: The top thrower is Jack Ripper, the middle tanto is repolished stainless knife from Taiwan, and last but not least is my beloved Kershaw Sweet - I almost never part with this baby .

Recently I have returned to my old Victronix Swiss Army knife as my EDC and favorite folder without one hand opening. It has a saw and awl that allows me to tinker.
For one hand opening I have a Boker with an opening system similar to a CRKT and wharncliffe geometry. It is also thin enough I can carry it on slacks and suit pants.
Fixed blade: I have an English trade knife with cherry burl scales by Jeff White for light work.
But for cutting and hacking my carbon flat grind Cold Steel Trailmaster. I love to cut water bolts with it.
Them 's my favorites.

Hands down it's my BBZS made by Fallen here on the forum - J&L custom knives and axes. It's truly a WICKED piece. Y'know when a blade just feels 'right' in your hand; well this knife does that for me

The short sword verion of the BBZS will be coming out very soon. It will be extra wicked by about 10 in. Given you more to reach a touh the zombies.

Nice knife, the 225. I need one.
I like all my knives but am partial to moderate size fixed blades. true favorites would be some of the cooking knives.

Careful with that. After German law that folder is illegal to carry as it can be opened with one hand. Sucks, I know... that's why I don't carry a folder but a small fixed blade. Haven't found a folder I like since all I fancy are assisted opening ones.

Is it all lock blade folders or just some?

Just those who can be opened with one hand and lock. If your knife can only be opened with two hands and locks, you're fine, same as with blades that open one handedly but don't lock. On fixed knives, the blade must be no longer than 12cm, otherwise no restrictions. Double edged blades (daggers) and some blades with long back edges that obviously are fighting knives are a no go, though.
Keep in mind, those restrictions only go for knives you carry in a position where you can easily reach them. If you transport a dagger/sword/whatever in your trunk because you're going to a cutting party/HEMA event/any understandable occasion, these laws don't apply. Self defense is NOT an acceptable reason!!

Built this myself, from a kit: I have no idea what kind of wood the handle is...might be paulownia...But, I stained it with a walnut stain. As far as EDC, I typically carry just a regular ol' Leatherman Juice, or a Swiss Army knife.

Does Dauðrnagl count as a knife? For EDC I have a Benchmade Mini Griptilian, the model with a plain sheep's foot blade and a thumb hole, that's always in my pants pocket. I used to have the slightly smaller Böker Field Mouse but - just as I feared in my review - I dropped the cammo colored damn thing and couldn't find it. So now I carry a screaming bright neon yellow Griptilian! It's a little larger than the Mouse so not quite as comfortable to carry, but not too awkward. And a great knife, at that. It's quickly growing on me, even the color. Also, just a few days ago I got the Skrama bush knife from Varusteleka. I'll definitely post a proper (if unabashedly positive) review once I get some real tests done and photos taken and write out my thoughts, but for now I'll just paraphrase Chester A. Bum and say OMG THIS IS THE GREATEST KNIFE I'VE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE!!!

Got to say after only 2 days of play I'm really very fond of my Bark River sts-5. I can see how it wouldn't be everyone's cut of tea but I'm really liking its size to heft ratio, this is the thickest blade I've held but the way they bring it to its edge is perfect.

Bark River makes some mighty fine knives, and they're from my home state to boot...they're made about 45 min. from where I went to college. I dream of owning one someday, when the correct amount of cash meets up with the opportune time to buy one.

That'd be because it's Old Norse. You know, a real language? PS. In Sindarin it'd be Gurutaes, from gurth/guru, "death", and taes, "nail", or Gûrtaxë in older Quenya.

I have two, a dragon yataghan knife I bought off of valiantco and my one and only www.fableblades.com/Wraith.html
She is such a bruiser, I have loved that knife since I got it in hand all those years ago and I still love it. I need to put some more money together and commission another knife from Bren. If you get the chance he makes very nice blades.

Yup, gotta love it. It's just so... well, rugged! And Jonathan's furniture fits it perfectly.

My favorite EDC is my Al Mar SERE 2000 modified by Butch Vallotton, by far the nicest and smoothest knife I've ever owned. I would carry it every day, but unfortunately, my place of employment (public h.s.) would would have a conniption fit/fire me if I had it anywhere on campus. Other than that, I'd say my SOG Vulcan (tanto point) is also a fav - not an auto, but super fast, super tough blade, and also light enough to carry as and EDC.
