So then, are any of our esteemed smiths able to make this "alchemically altered metal"? ;D If indeed it involved refraction and not reflection it would have to be at least semi-transparent no? Perhaps some sort of crystalline structure would be capable of this. Just need a functioning light-saber to test it on!

Stormbringer. Elric's weapon is fascinating. I dont like the model Raven's armory has made, and the price is totally ridiculous even with the inserted lapis lazuli... But thats just me Conan's sword... didnt i just said something about prices... Sauron's mace ( made to a human size ) that would be perfect ! Almost any weapon designed for the Talislanta rpg...

It's not so bad being the father of all mankind you know.
Gilgamesh still chillin' with the gods I see. Good for him.

Not to be rude guys but take the personal comments to PM as we don't want to derail the thread As for me just about any sword Bren makes and that aside absolutely any sword from oblivion or from dungeon siege 2.

Didn't see this game mentioned, but sorry if I missed it.
I'm quite fond of some of the swords in "The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion." In particular, the glass swords, the ebony swords, and the Madness swords. There's also some of the unique swords I like from the same game, like the Thornblade, Goldbrand, and the Sword of the Crusader. I'd love to provide images but alas, I play it on PS3 and can't take screencaps.

Hey, thanks! Did you take that first one yourself? It didn't occur to me to take a picture of my TV screen.

Someone really should do a good replica of Anglachel (do not know if that is spelled right) or any other sword from Tolkiens universe, with any luck gen 2 will make more like thier high elven king Right on!! I think as Gurthang would be better-after the 'soul' in the sword had become darker than both Eol the darkelf and Turin's madness made it. Your spelling is correct by the way. Glamdring never gets credit for its own 'historical' importance in Tolkien's world.(check out TheHobbit, and see what Elrond has to say about Gandalfs 'find'.) I'd love to see a version along the lines of DSA's FlameofAngels.

Dude! Have you actually cut with it? Jody samson is amazing, a very pretty piece though I like the one that looks more like a katana.

She feels very fast..I'm hoping there's enough blade presence to track well. Mike at Albion told me his is a great cutter, so I'm hopeful.

ronin1: Just from looking at it and my experience with katana, I would say that this thing would handle as if it weighs nothing and cut like you wouldn't believe. Now many people will tell you that if the PoB isn't forward in the blade then it won't cut very well. Depending on the sword this is true but most of the time it is because the people who talk about forward PoB have been trained with those kinds of weapons. Many great cutting swords, especially a few sabres I have handled have a very neutral PoB and will cut just as well sometimes better than a forward PoB. What I wouldn't give for jody samsons master sabre.

Hi bloodwraith,
I agree on the POB input. I have used a number of high end kats over the years with POBs all over the place...some of the 'quicker' ones cut like demons. I really like the neutral POB on the Seaward..I think its going to really sing! Tip speed should be really nice. LOL
