Ronin1 you are going to cut with that on video right? I want to see. I'll do my best, Razor!

I'm another one in favour of Link's Master Sword from the Legend of Zelda series. I've seen the cheap SLO's, but I think it can be done better. More realistic and less exaggerated. And battle ready, of course.
Would also love a decent version of Hiro Nakamura's/Kensei's sword from Heroes. I know those have been made.
Numerous swords from Tolkien's books: Ringil, Anglachel, Orcrist (should see that in a couple years!), to name a few.

I´ve been breaking my back to find a functional Master Sword from Zelda, but all that seems to exist are wall hangers

for the master sword of links you could always get a good blade that is functional and the wallhanger too, and chop up the wall hanger and use its hilt with the functional blade,DSA swords are great for remakes as it is threaded tang ;D unless you can weld good, or know how to peen it together. i did this to make a functional conan sword out of a wall hanger ;D

There was a thread on SFI where somebody made a functional master sword. Maybe he would be willing to make another.

I'd love to see any (functional) blade from the Prince of Persia series, especialy the Dagger of Time and some of the various shamshirs used throughout Warrior Within.

Final Fantasy VIII Squall Leonheart's gunblade. I would like it to be fully functional in both ways. >XD
That would satisfy the sword and firearm enthusiasm of me.

you and every one else that's ever played the game ...... if I was going to make a gun blade I would use a "lever-action" rifle to start with

Thank you very much. I just wish some production company would do them, although I realize they'd be of lower quality. That is some beautiful work on those swords from one of my favorite games.

Raven Armory's Stormbringer for me . Elric has been my favorite from when i first learned to read. 5 years is plenty of time to make payments. over 7 lbs ... and i thought my DSA Ranger is heavy I love the books as well, and just posted my 2-cent opinion of an SBG-themed sword. The Raven Armoury sword is beautiful, and probably more "accurate" than the Robert Gould depictions, but I love his wicked claymore art! I think the Raven Arms blade would have been better with a 'cleaner' looking hilt. Stormbringer rules over all!

For me, I would like:
1) The Final Fantasy Gun-blade 2) Light Saber 3) Xianghua's Chinese sword from Soul Calibur (Although, this isn't really fantasy. I'll probably get a real one) 4) Ivy's Sword from Soul Calibur 5) Nightmare's Sword from Soul Calibur 6) Lots of the swords in World of Warcraft x) 7) Fiery Dragon Sword from Guild Wars!
P.S: For the post above me, those are some wicked renderings! I used to do 3D work, but I stopped far before I got to that level of rendering / modeling.

Nightmare's sword woukld be incredibly heavy, but super tough. That thing wouldn't just split a bullet, but probably split a cannon in half!

I'd have to say either The Master Sword from Zelda or Khazid'hea Catt-Brie's sword from R.A. Salvatores Forgotten Realms books:
"Khazid'hea is a finely crafted blade that can cut through flesh, bone, armor, and even rock. The blade itself is sentient, and can project its “thoughts” into the user's head and even affect their reasoning. On the occasions this has happened, they have gone into battle against impossible numbers without realizing it until their enemies lay dead before them. In the process, they often get hurt, but don’t notice. Khazid'hea is always hungry for blood and battle, and it is never sated. "
Sounds like the ULTIMATE battle-ready sword...

Nah the ultimate battle ready sword is a heron mark from the wheel of time series.

If there's no holds barred I'd take an ethereal two handed sword inscribed with the rune word "Breath of the Dying" from Diablo 2. I don't have a picture available of it (not that it's much to look at either, really.) but simply imagine a translucent great sword that is as light as a feather, is completely indestructible, steals the life force of it's victims and deals unhealable wounds.
That'd be quite fantastic, heh.

the master sword, and I found some decent pictures of a sword like object that comes pretty close: that's odd, they aren't showing up for me.
