I'd like a smaller version of Dunpeal's sword, from Vampire Hunter D. I think there was one custom made, though I don't remember when and where I read it. I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, I was too lazy to browse through all 23 pages...

Its been a long time since I saw Vampire Hunter D... but he had a giant two handed sword that was curved like a saber blade right? Odin Blades makes some big two handed sabers...

It is a katana sword from the Brent Weeks Night Angel Trilogy. Hmm... I must not have paid that close attention to its description. I imagined it as a double-edged sword. Not a bastard sword, more like a single-handed knight's sword. I don't recall reading about them using it with two hands.... If I had to pick a fantasy sword at this moment it would probably be the dragon blade and the dark dragon blade from Ninja Gaiden Sigma. They'd have to come as a set.

I always thought that this sword was the coolest since reading the books for the first time in the early 80s Chuck

I always wanted a wide Norse style blade made with a percentage of meteoric Iron forged in with the high carbon steel. And the hardware being either solid silver or silver plated depending on how well silver would work out in hardness for the pommel and guard.
There was a movie about a year back on TV (Dragon something) about an adopted blacksmith who was really a prince and meets the queen of Iceland, and they split a metor in half.He makes a sword and kills a dragon named Fafiner and takes the treasure it was guarding.I want the sword he forged but with the silver hardware.

Hey buliwyf, it was Dark Kingdom- the Dragon King (Ring of the Nibelungs) with Kristanna Loken (only good thing I've ever seen her in).

Thanks for remembering that movies name,it was driving me crazy not remembering. It was an OK flick and yes I want a sword that can carve through an anvil and I want to bathe in dragons blood and become invincible. With me it's having a sword made with metal not from this world being in a meteor I just think thats cool.

BB, so you didn't like Kristanna as the new Terminator? I thought she was uber HOT in that man. She spoke only 4 words in the entire movie: I like your car.
And yet...she was SMOKIN in that red leather getup. Hmm...she could play Cara (Mord-Sith).
Vampire Hunter D...talk about blast from the past!

She's good friends with my buddy Peter. I've only met her once, when she went out with us after a performance of a show Peter and I were in. She was pretty quiet, but a really nice person. And yes. Uber Hot.

Well, I was trying to be tasteful. She's beautiful and all, but the part of Lunaman's post that caught me the most was when he said she was a quiet, nice person. I like to hear that, since so often we hear about celebrities who are deluded in their self-image or self-importance.
It's cool to see that there are still celebrities who are level-headed, especially since she is beautiful enough to get away with a huge ego.

I know that's right, but that's only because we tend to forget that they're normal too...and some normals can't handle all of the attention- goes right to their head.

I want the sword "Tyrfing", just have to find it first. I think it may have been buried with Alaric I. As for one that I know where it is. It lies in a museum in Frisia. It belonged to Pier Gerlofs Donia, except I would probably have to make it a wall hanger since it weighs over seven pounds........Ah heck I may have to come back and re-post, this is a tough one.

Well, not much for fantasy swords these days but...
I suppose an interpretation of Greyswandir from the Chronicles of Amber would be nice. I have a fairly good idea of what it would look like.
Sikkanda from The Neverending Story would also be great. A terribly overlooked fantasy sword.
Thorn's sword from the comic Bone was really pretty, but had a very practical look to it.
And I always liked those falchion-dao-ish swords used by the fauns in the Narnia movies.
Then there's a couple of Boris Vallejo paintings with swords that I always thought looked interesting. And there's a whole heap of Jody Samson swords I would have loved to own.

A faithful representation of Rand's Heron Marked Sword from the Wheel of Time. One Heron on the blade, one Heron on the hilt. Leather wrapped. Cross guard without a tsuba.
