Seriously though...how cool would it be to have Iceflame, Pathfinder, Blackwand...all 17 of them mounted and with plaques stating their full Dragearan name and history? How cool would it be...? Sir, it would be EPIC.

Sir, it would be EPIC. Speaking of Epic lol...I've considered creating various copies of the cooler 'Epic' weapons from Everquest too. Particularly the twin ranger epics as depicted in that artwork from the other thread. Spontaneously generated lightning not included lol. Cris

For the Japanese sword fans: Honor Harrington's swords from David Weber's books. I'm sure her military saber can be found reasonably easily, but the Sword of the Protector and the Sword of Burdette Steading...

I know very little about EQ, dispite the fact that some of my old D&D characters are roaming the game as NPC's... handing out quests and interacting with thousands of players per day all over the world.

Glad to see that the sword is still available but, if YOU can't afford one, I ain't got a snowball's chance in hell of ever affording one !! . From your links - thanks for providing them - it definitely looks as if the Christian Fletcher/Atrim sword is based on historical ones - at least the hilt. Sure is a beautiful style.

I couldn't tell ya what fantasy sword I'd like to have... but I can tell you what qualities, characteristics and specs that I'd like a sword to have. I wish I had the metal working skills and tools required to make my own sword...

One thing I'd love in addition to some (non-movie) interpretations of LOTR swords, very functional even if ornamental, is something I think is a rather original design. A one handed straight sword, with a straight blade like a jian only thicker, somewhat like a think viking blade, with a round, tsuba type guard, silk/leather handlewrap over ray skin and a guard/end of metal curving slightly outwards like a straight dao handle, with a hole in it from where a ribbon is tied.

Eragon's new sword Brisingr Not sure if I liked that sword too much. Then again, I've rather lost interest in the books lately. Oromis' sword was cool, though.

Got the assasins straight blade from Serenity, from <reliks.com> battle ready at about $160. Came semi-sharp, sharpened up nicely after a while of working at it, and while I'd use it to cut bottles and thin branches I wouldn't recommend it for anything harder.
