Had a bit of a Christmas rush, first up a Albion Baron with Christian Fletcher fittings. Next a 1867 Dragoon Sabre, Dave Kelly wa also nice enough to throw in a freebie a US M1833 dragoon sabre but that will be given to my brother. Another oldie 1796 Cavalry Sabre. And finally a Kuhkuri from the local knife show

You got most of what I wanted from the classifieds (Baron and 1867). Nice!

Beautiful collection! I strive to one day have a collection that can compete with these! I can't even pick of many that I envy the most! I think it may be the Odin leafblade or the yeshua hilted sabers/scimitars.... that certain dark elf would be proud.

Paul the Kuhkuri is from the Kuhkuri house in Nepal, they had a stall at the Adelaide knife show was a lot of different designs including the more traditional ones, this one just appealed to me the most, though I did change the handle a bit, it was rounded with only one finger grove I filed the sides flat and added the other finger groves for a better feeling grip. I was after a camp / garden chopper but didn't want a hand axe, what drew me to this one was the but cap to stop my hand slipping and blade is 9mm thick at the spine so wont break. Here is a link to there Australia webpage. Edit... take a look at some of their custom offerings too very tempted on one of those big choppers. www.thekhukurihouse.com/catalog/products.php?id=3734f87Croccifixio you have to be quick on the classifieds sometimes though I'm very surprised the Baron lasted as long as it did, I missed out when it came up for sale a few months ago and thought I did again when it was back up as pm's where sent before I saw it, but it was still there a few days later so thought why not.

I made an offer on the Baron (on installments) but was only going to be able to fully pay by end of the month so I was only the Plan B. With the 1867, it was really just the horrible shipping otherwise it would have been mine too :p That's what happens when you have to keep a tight budget due to a new member of the family. Only so much money to play with :) I did use the money for some new toys though...

Stormmaster it is the back corner of my garden, that spot catches a lot of afternoon sun for good natural light.

This is what I was hoping to see - up close pics of the Stormbringer. Wow. I'm not familiar with what it's based on - but I saw your comment in the other thread about it. It's more than drool-worthy.

It's more than drool-worthy. One of the two swords wielded by Elric... anti-hero of the Michael Moorcock series of novels. It's twin "brother" being Mournblade. I wonder if this consumes souls like the one it's patterned after... Beautiful piece Dave! My envy continues to grow with every new acquisition you get. ;)

I am sorry, dear Sir, but I beg to differ.
That is not a collection .... that is an armoury.

Considering you mentioned you ordered 2 swords from Raven Armoury, is threre a chace we get to see Mournblade as well? Hey Robert, I am still waiting on a few more swords from Raven Armouries and one of them is a Mourneblade but it is a different design than the Rodney Mathews Stormbringer so they won't make a matched pair, I'll have to wait and see how it handles before I think about ordering another stormbringer to match that one. How is the Raven Armoury M1893 to you? Hi Jordan the 1893 is a very light fast and nimble sabre it handles very well to me, but I have never had any formal training so my mileage might be a bit off and to be honest I prefer curved sabres so it does not get handled that often, though it is stunning to look at, as for the workmanship it is flawless, I will try to get some better photos of it soon as the ones I have put up so far do not do it justice.
