Been a bit quiet on the sword front from me, thought I had better spend the day oiling swords as it has been over 12 months since I last oiled some of these, I didn't find anything to worry about though as Adelaide is a dry place with very little humidity, hopefully I can pick up something nice in 2016, a French Briquet or Albion Earl would be my main goals for this this year.

You have been talking about an Albion Earl for some time. Would like to see you get one.

It's been a while since anything new showed up for me, this makes up for it though, a Jody Samson Blade and some Magic from Ernie at Yeshua's swords.

One of the big 3. Another blade that simply makes one go "wow" IRL.

I've never been a huge fan of Jody Samson swords but I must say that combined with Ernie magic it looks sweet.

That Swiss saber with the Oxblood handle has me enthralled! That's the kind of thing i see in my warped head. Please tell us more about it, what it replicates, ect.
Looks to me like it's a good one hand sword that you can do a lot of 2 hand assist and utilize the pommel more?
Like a arming sword and a saber made whoopie and some backsword DNA got in there. Again I am enthralled by it even with so much of your collection being incredible.
A great mix of interest, you have. I salute you!

Hey Paul, this is one half of a pair the other will be here before Christmas, this is a before shot from Ernie it is the second one down. Gundy, The Dane is one of my all time favourite swords, it's big, it has a ricasso and a scent stoper pommel is win win for me, as to why I have two well one is to polish and shine the other is for cutting though sometimes I do forget which is for which. Darth, the grip and guard were made by Christian Fletcher and the blade by Ollin swords it is based on a sword in the Wallace collection, Arms and Armour also make a great replica that is closer to the original. It handles very well for a sword of this size.

Dave that is really nice, I'm a bit envious The pattern in the steel is awesome! I really hate the customs process though I've never really had any delays just the fees and GST. I always make sure my mobile number is on the item, I normally get a call during postage, pay the fees over the phone and delivery really isn't delayed.

Bill, Paul it is a real piece of art very impressed by it. Here are a couple more photos to help give some size perspective. Odin Blades or Longship Armoury whatever you want John make great swords. Some of my single edged swords

The second Samson blade was finished by Ernie, here are a couple of photo's of the finished pair I have always been a big fan of a certain dark elf by the name of Drizzt, but the swords that are available have always been ho hum for me, so seeing these blades on Albions site led me to thinking I should have my own set made, Ernie at Yeshuas did the rest, I am very pleased at how these came out not wanting a copy of but a tribute to Twinkle and Icing Death. I'll try to keep my photo's down to two, but if you want to see some more head to flickr

Its not a big list anymore Bill, still waiting for a few customs to come in then hopefully an Earl but lately my buying has been spur of the moment on already completed swords, this seems to work better for me. Just picked up a great Kuhkuri from the Kuhkuri house at the Adelaide knife, show as well as British 1796 Cavalry sabre. then saving up for that Earl though I might have to sell a few things in the meantime as I'm running out of room.
