Hey my name is Dave and I have been collecting swords for few years now. I am a avid reader of Heroic Fantasy, David Gemmell, Katherine Kerr, George Martin and Robert Jordan and many more, think Conan and Waylander, all this reading does cause me to be a bit of a fantasy sword collector, but I also appreciate historical swords as well as Sabre's. Like most people I started off with a few Ebay swords but quickly became disillusioned with the poor quality of many of the pieces I spent good money on.
I then found SBG and discovered that I wasn’t as alone in my hobby as I thought and if ever I got that look from my partner Kelly, I would load up SBG and open up Dave Kelly’s or Bill Swiger’s collections page and watch her walk away shaking her head, thanks guys this collection would not be here today if not for you.
Living in Australia there is not a very good second hand market at present, so all my purchases I try to think thru as postage is very high which make reselling anything a big loss, if I tire of a sword I normally just give them to my brother or one of my nephews (if they show they can be responsible with them).
At this time I’m more of a middle to high end buyer preferring Atrims and Albions to Windlass and Hanwei, though I still have many of their swords in my collection.
These photos have a link to Flickr which has more photos for those who wish to see more as well as full size images. If you have any question regarding handling or just an interest in a particular sword, let me know and I will get back to you.
Atlantean Warrior made by John Greybeard on an Albion moat sale blade. What can I say it is an Atlantean, a sword I have wanted to own for more than 20 years, John did an amazing job on the bronze and bringing the blade back from the dead.

This is the Knives I own, I'm not really a knife nut but every now and again one will take my fancy mostly buy Australian makers as customs is very strict on importing knives. Got this one at the Adelaide knife show, a Del Raso Utility Going to post a few work in progress shots of finished swords, as looking at how a sword is made and the progression as it takes shape is very interesting. Sweet goodness...you could have only posted the Atlantean Warrior Sword and I'd have been floored. Then you had to go and post all of your other beautiful, beautiful blades...absolutely incredible collection!

Thanks for the great responses, this is still a work in progress, just like my collection really. Saito - Hand of Tyr is a great big sword that just cuts up whatever is in front of it, at 4lb 8 oz it is not going to stop in a hurry but with a lenticular blade shape it is very easy to get good edge alinment, bottom line is it's a custom sword costing thousands made by a great sword smith, it does what it is supposed to do and it does it well.
Paul - Very tough call I don't think I could choose just one really, as they are all so different and yet so simillar, I would like to say the Raven Dragon shortsword, but then I look at the custom Endless Blue or the other Fables or Odins and I have a Lowlander too that is just a great sword. Which one I choose today would be different tomorrow, have to put this one in the too hard basket.
Rob - as you can see from that photo I have a thing for the waisted ricasso.
Luna - I put the photo of the Alpha Omega next to the Munich, they are almost identical in size and weight, the handling is very close as well with maybe a very very small advantage to the Munich in a cut, when I bought the Alpha Omega it was cheaper than the Munich Gothic and that was before all the price rises, now I would say get a Munich unless you really need some hollowground goodness.
