Looking for a functional Gladius below $300 to give to my Dad for his birthday. It would be used for cutting water bottles, etc. Anybody have any suggestions?

Agree with Zach, otherwise take a look at the VA Actium. It's been backordered for a while though.

Kris Cutlery Gladius is by far the best one under 300.

VA Actium is best Gladius that i have owned so far and i have owned Gen 2 Maintz, Windlass Pompei and some cheap crap that name i forget.. Actium is the only one that i have and it would definedly be my weapon of choice if i ever must to go close corner fight with no firearms.. Vires et honor -Tomius
