Actually speaking of movie swords this one reminds me a lot of the version of the Excalibur from First Knight with Richard Grere and Sean Connery. Demonskull: If this is the same Tudor Sword I bought, it is a Townton, type XVII, blade attached to a 16th Centruy hilt. Transitional cut and thrust arrangement. I find it quite suitable for sword and buckler play (not with a partner, mind, it's quite lethal ). Nddave: First Knoodle: eeeeewwwwwww. What's that I smell? Drove Connery and Gere into retirement. I thought it was the whole "slap a woman" comment and Mothman Prophecies that did that, though I'm sure that movie helped too, lol. Eh, its a good one to get out for the ladies when a compromise is needed for a chick flick/ sword moive hybrid. She gets her love jive and he gets some swordplay, lol.

4/22 Hewing Spear $ 15.00 www.museumreplicas.com/p-557-hewing-spearhead.aspxThis is a big beefy spear head for a very low price. I did a quick look on the other weapons review but didn't see any reviews for this. My younger brother has one and it makes a good spear at the regular price.

I have one. Sharpened it. Mounted it on a broom pole. Love it. Cuts very well. Loads of fun.

I had one for at least 4 years and at my last cutting party last Sunday someone brought a newer one. The newer one looked a little different than mine and the newer one bent while cutting tatami and the guy said that. Was the second one that did that.

I expect it will be okay for bottles, but we'll find out. From the general shape it doesn't look durable for throwing.
