Still have my Leuterit. Very nice sword for the price. I grow more fond of its profile, though I thinned the cross section near the tip it's way too thick.

I had one for at least 4 years and at my last cutting party last Sunday someone brought a newer one. The newer one looked a little different than mine and the newer one bent while cutting tatami and the guy said that. Was the second one that did that. That's not very much encouraging. I expect it will be okay for bottles, but we'll find out. From the general shape it doesn't look durable for throwing. It's not. sbg-sword-forum.forums.net/thread/47806/windlass-hewing-spear-bent

So Medieval Review on Youtube (https://www.youtube.com/user/medievalreview) did an analysis of the MRL Deal of the Day (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C32QeDOGbhs). If there are any data junkies out there (like me) then the following might be interesting: I put my nerd hat on and did some statistical analysis of the data Medieval Review provided and used this thread to catch up on other items, so I have data for 118 days (approx 4 months). There are definite trends. The analysis shows that weapons are 99% likely to be on special on either a Friday or a Sunday (there was only one instance in which a weapon was on sale on a Tuesday). The best weapons, i.e. not wall hangers but "battle ready" items tended to be more likely on a Sunday than a Friday. As of today approx 57% is clothing, 25% weapons, 9% armour and 8% Miscellaneous. Also there is a strong tendency towards Fantasy and Viking related items. There have been 14 items which have been reposted twice (no item has yet been posted more than twice). The average saving per item is 49% (so roughly half off with only minor deviations), the average price of an item on special is $59.00 (with the average normal selling price being approx $117.00). You are most likely to get armour on a Tuesday or Saturday (all armour has either been sold on a Tuesday or Saturday, although you are twice as likely to get armour on a Tuesday than a Saturday). The highest value items (based on sale price not normal selling price) on average are sold on Sunday ($77), Friday ($70), Tuesday ($65) and Thursday ($61). Mondays are always clothing (100% of the time), Wednesdays and Thursdays are 94% clothing.

"Parts and head are forged of solid metal" Can we guess what kind of metal? By forged I'm guessing they mean cast pot metal with a nice antique brass finish? But then again, it isn't claiming to be anything but a pretty conversation piece.
