Has anyone ever gotten one of those? I'm skeptical of the quality of MR clothes, but that looks reasonable enough for a day at the ren faire.

I've got both the Viking Tunics... they are solid... too solid in most cases. You can only ware em when its kinda cold outside... or you will sweat to death.

I have a pair. They are soft, comfortable and look great. I wore them all day to the Renn Faire several times with no problems. I got a few compliments on them too. But they do have issues: The laces are a thick, inflexible leather. You might want to replace them with something. I didn't bother. They run small. Add a size to your normal size when ordering. Be careful when pulling the laces tight. The loops that the laces run through tend to tear where they connect to the boot. Avoidable if you are careful when tightening the laces (like I wasn't). Doesn't bother me too much as it gives a weathered look to the boots. This is the biggest issue with them. Definitely a "what are they thinking" thing. The soles are a smooth, shiny finished leather. Not many things are as slippery as smooth shiny leather on the bottom of your boots. Bad on carpets, damp grass, tiled floors, etc. I roughed mine up with some low grit sandpaper. That helped a bit. Would I recommend them? If you like the look I recommend them highly. They are good for costuming and days at the Renn Faire. They are not tough and not good for hiking and the like (the material is too soft and thin for rough treatment). At this price I am getting another pair in case the ones I have wear out. Here's shot of them on my feet at the Faire a couple of years ago. They're a bit dusty from walking around all day. They are also a bit lighter brown than they appear in this picture. Let me know if you have any other questions.

That's a pretty ugly belt, but all of the medieval stuff this week has me looking forward to the weekend deal. Let's hope it's not the Robin Hood sword.

When wearing this shirt, Please remember to draw your bow horizontally. It looks so much cooler that way.
