I have read that it does not have any distal taper (bad by windlass standards), so if you're bothered by that I'd advise you to stay away.

Not really worth it, not even for a project blade. I'd stay away or spend the same money on a bare Hanwei blade.

Depends on what your interested in, and how much you have to spend, and what your price-range is.

Yes they do, just not recently. They generally slow down with the better liked items for the Thanksgiving Sale (currently on) and for Christmas. Why discount something if the public will buy it at the regular price for presents.
Give it a few more weeks and you'll see some interesting things pop up.

That's too bad they slow down on "interesting" items during this time. Because This member of the public was waiting for a nice deal to combine with the thanksgiving sale for a real savings.
Oh well. I'll keep my eyes open.

11/27 Says Deal of the Holiday Weekend: Sword of Homildon for $140.00 www.museumreplicas.com/p-1443-sw ... -hill.aspx The 15% of Everything also will be applied at checkout so your bottom line price is $119.00You wanted a good deal, this isn't too bad and Happy Thanksgiving ! I just checked to see if there was a review on this sword and I can't find one. I did come across several comments, all positive from people who bought one. If it wasn't this close to Christmas, I'd pick one up....might anyways as you can't beat the price.

I'm curious about this one too. I wish someone had one to give us feedback.

I had one and it was a decent sword. Not overly flexible at all. It comes with a cord wrap grip and I just put leather over it.

Check out pictures of mine under "aquisitions"; much prettier than this vendor pictures can tell, great balance and weight.
