I'm definitely loving the info provided. It's something invaluable really, as I and likely many others are loathe to pay Albion prices without handling... Not that they aren't worth it, but that i's a lot of money.
If they have any of the following, i'd be intrigued.. The wife agreed, once we sign on a house, I can look into putting an Albion on layway, so, i'm definitely more thankful than even before on all information in Pt. 1 and anything oncoming in pt. 2
-The Knud -the Chevalier - The yeoman/sherrif/sovereign.. This type I am most interested in aesthetically, so i'll probably end up with one of these.. -The Mercenary
Thanks again, and as soon as I can access the forum in a non-mobile way to give Karma, you got yourself some.

I had a Knud... a much longer blade then I normally like on a single handed sword... but it was so well balanced that I still loved it. It move well and didn't feel even a bit weird despite being much longer then I was used to. LOVE the look of the furniture. The only real flaw for me was my huge hands didn't fit the grip well. If you have larger hands it could be a problem for you. If not, its an amazing sword.

I dont have too long of hands, but they're rather wide.. My wife says they're more 'paws' than hands. So that may be a problem...I guess i'd definitely want a measurement on the grip then.. My starfire has about a 4.75-5" grip, and that length is honestly a bit tight for my druthers.
I like the knud because of the plain furniture. The shape and design are striking and pleasing, but there isnt a ton of carving the the clontarf or valkyrja.. Both are great swords, but are just a wee bit fancy for me.
I was surprised the wife was ok with an Albion once we got a house squared away... Goes to show pulling extra hours and cleaning house more often can get you somewhere, sometimes.

Oh, in addition to the ones I mentioned earlier, I'd like to hear more about the Kingmaker if they've got one in the shop; out of the 6-7 Albions I'm interested in, that's the one that, if I could only get it, I wouldn't be all that disappointed... Okay, I lied. I'd be a little disappointed about missing out on the Knecht and Thegn.

I have wide mits too... If a grip that size is a bit tight for you, the Knud would be positively claustrophobic. The grip was much closer to 4 inches then to 5 as I recall.

Bugger... That one was really growing on me too.. I'll have to measure my starfire again, as I'm seeing something different in their stats page than what I remember. I know that mine was customized slightly by the friend who helped me pick starfire as a brand, so I'm not sure anymore. And it's in a box in a closet buried under things.

I don't for one. I have relatively small smooth hands, that the ladies enjoy I can definitely ask and see if they have those models available. I know for sure that there was a sovereign there as it is in one of the photos.

Vincent, I come from a very odd and opposing set of genetics, and I seem to have acquired the dregs of the collection physically speaing.. My torso is almost exactly 2x the length of my legs (off by a mere 6 0r 8")..
I just realized I was thinking of the wrong starfire on grip size.. Mine is based on the ls 32 model, and the one I was thinking of is an ls 28, so there is a bit of difference. I'll need to dig mine up and check, as I'm betting the handle is more than accommodating.

D'artagnan, as I live in Australia the chances of me making it to Albion are slim but seeing your photos and comments are really giving me a feel for the place not only about the swords but the staff as well. I have bought four Ablions new and it is good to see my money going to support nice helpful people with a lot of skill and dedication in this small industry. All my blades were bought without any handling of them at all, I have to base a purchase on its postive reviews and comments from fellow collectors such as yourself and it is much appreciated. So Thanks and I will be looking forward to part 2.
As for what I would like to see next how about a photo of the Earl next to the Cluny or the Munich if you can swing it, but so far all the swords you have reviewed have been of interest, I may never purchase them all but it is nice to hear other poeples thoughts and opinions of them.

So this is what I have asked if they have to take a look at this next trip:
The Knud The Brescia Spadona The Munich The Sovereign (which was there), the Yeoman, the Sheriff The Kingmaker The Chevalier Any other Gladii/Spathas you may have The Mercenary The Regent The Viceroy St. Maurice Turin The Machiavelli The Earl
I'm not sure how many they will have. But I will take a look at whatever they have and hopefully spend a little more than five minutes with them this time.

And don't forget the Hospitaller, if they have one.

Who made it? I've never heard of it and don't believe it's in the Albion line up?

I just saw it on the site. I could have warned you against that one. In fact I'm really not a fan of the Albion sword either. I'm sure Mike will offer you an exchange with no problems.

I'm not going til this coming monday, and I haven't gotten a response back regarding which blades of the list they have. I will try again with an updated list tomorrow.
