Holy hell, SF; you've gotta do a review on the yari and naginata if you get the time. I've seen those around for years yet have never really seen much on them.

SwordFan, that leafblade is superb one of Bendan's best, everything about it screams Awsome, from the color of the Ant Brass to the small flare of the ricasso to the carving of the grip and that little fuller. Not only do you have great taste, but it seems Mrs Swordfan does too.

Hey Sean - Nice sword :-) How did that carved grip feel when you cut with her? It should have been reasonably comfy and offered secure purchase on it. Dave - Mrs Swordfan was great to work with. She fished around a bit with Sean to confirm my ideas fo rthe sword, and had some input and requests - like keeping the holly. And ultimately I we decided to let me run with it because luckily for Sean he regularly emails me to discuss his fancies, and I knew exactly what would float his boat haha. I wouldn't kick that sword out of bed either of course. I like the way the curves and bevels in the ricasso complement the guard shapes - luckily he photos show that pretty well. And the fuller tapers from broad to narrow complements the flare - I can't remember having ever seen a little bubby one like that before.

Hey Brendan She cut like a dream and that grip not only looks fine but provides plenty of grip . I just love the contrast of the white wood and the brass , looks really good . I must be honest , I love all my fable blades that iv gotten from you ,but this one really is something special and my favorite . It really looks like something straight out of Tolkien's world . Anyhow I'm off to the hospital again , little Kayla arrived today all 3.1kg's of her . When things settle down in the next week or two I'll get a review done with pics .

Congratulations for welcoming a lil swordfan to the world!!! I cant help but be a little bit envious of your collection there , not to mention the support/enabling of the wifey. I still get minor pangs of regret for not jumping on gurthang while the iron was hot, but it is certainly in good company. I do however have a question. Is the guard/pommel made of brass?? I thought i read on Brenno's page that they were actually fired steel. I suppose i should just go see for myself, as i really just wanted to comment on my lust for your toys and to wish you all the best for your family's new addition.
edit: i'm officially slowtarded, it is indeed brass (as i'm sure you're aware  ), now i'm not gonna sleep until i know which one of brenno's blades i'm thinkin of.
