I occasionally stopped by Christian Fletcher site to feast my eyes on the Borderwatch. I stopped by a few minutes ago and found that it is no longer offer as part of the Prestige Line. I am disappointed because I plan to get one at the end of the year. I would have order one sooner, but I will be deployed in a few months so that have to wait.

Christian put up news over at myarmoury that he'll be incorporating albion blades into his work, specifically the Prestige line. I hope the borderwatch isn't gone for good

This is the only non-Japanese sword that I say to myself that I MUST have. I think the Borderwatch has many admirers other than myself. It would not make sense to discontinue such a popular and beloved sword.

CF is not working with Atrim blades anymore... but he has done Boarderwatches with Albion blades before... Lunaman's Boarderwatch is one such blade. I too want a Boarderwatch.

I wonder could he do a border-watch hilt on a Dane Blade ?

On the prestige line you mean? Or all of his lines will now be with Albion blades

Not sure... you'd have to ask him. He has been making Boarderwatch swords since long before he called anything a 'prestige line'... and he has made them with both Gus Trim blades and Albion blades. I dunno if he is still going to do any with Gus Trim blades... but I bet he will still do em with Albion blades.

The Borderwatch will be the first of the Prestige Line to be re-released with an Albion blade. In fact I already have the blade here, along with the guard and pommel cast by Albion from originals I sent them. I just need to make the updated grip and assemble the sword.

Thank Christian, you made my day. Is the specs going to be different than Atrim blade?

I LOVE my Albion Borderwatch, and the news that there will be more like it is fantastic, as I prefer the proportions to the Atrim version. SWEET! But...does that mean the Atrim blades on the other prestige line swords will go as well? I desperately want a green Antioch with the current blade, but I only buy one or two swords a year and unfortunately that one is THIRD on my list, so I was planning to snag it in 2012. I really liked the idea of getting a matched pair Antioch and Austrian Great Sword, but if the Antioch changes to an Albion XII they wont be matched anymore. Fiddlesticks. I guess I could bump it to the top of my list and get one this summer (provided it's still around), but I really wanted an Albion XVI and a smallsword first. Unless... Wait. COULD I GET AN ANTIOCH WITH AN ALBION XVI BLADE? ? My dreams.... Heh. Could it happen? AGH. ...Maybe this should have been an email.

Phew! Good to hear that reply from Christian. I'm just starting out on my collecting, but already the Borderwatch is on the list of swords to work towards. Was disappointed when I saw the original thread.

Christian Fletcher released all the ATrim blades he was using for us to use. Thank you Christian, so those blades will all be available soon from TTA. Also, I understand that Sonny Suttles may be taking over the chimera line. so all these swords will be available.
specifically, the Antioch was built on the ATrim XII.4 blade and the Austrian was built on a AT XIIa.4. soon TTA will be offering custom grip colors and other goodies.
