Received my Atrim today. My first Atrim ever. Shipping was done quick and the package was well wrapped. Thumb up to Tom and Hiroshi.

Curse you for living closer to him than I do! I also got word that my 1557 was complete and shipped out on the same day that Tom shipped his. Gonna swing by the PO tomorrow with a sliver of hope that Tom's shipment has arrived, but I'd imagine that they will both be here Friday. Which one did you get btw? You do know that we will be expecting a lovely review... well, and accurate review, which I'm sure will be lovely. I got the XII.1h (for heavy) It was the big thick, triple fullered one that was giving the hairy eye to anyone who looked at it. I gave it the hairy eye right back! The "heavy" classification is because the blade is 8oz or so heavier then Gus had intended for that typology. And just a single thumb up for Tom and Hiroshi?

I got the XII.5. Only one thumb, the other thumb is needed to hold my new Atrim. I have not weight it yet but it feels light and very lively. Of course, I am used to more forward POB on katana.

I need to teach you the double-shooting-fingers-while-holding-a-sword move. And I was REALLY close to getting the XII.5 instead of the .1. But I considered the option of upgrading from my AT303s to the Atrim XII.5, or getting a totally different typology all together. Well, not TOTALLY different, but a different subclass of the XII line. And who doesn't love the triple fullers? With the forge scale still intact. And that big veluptuous pommel on the end. With a grip screaming "Hold me Greg! Hold me!" And I'm like "I can't cause Tom wanted to play with you over the weekend!" Edit: And I tried to ninja edit before anyone noticed on my last post. Oh well!

well I hope you all love yours SoS, Chuck got his too and so far sounds happy with it. I think you will find the XII.5 to be about 2 pounds 2 ounces. it was the fastest of the batch by a good amount. yes it is light and fast and way different than katana, but I hope you still love it, it is quite a bit different. Greg got the big boy of the batch, I have an ATrim about the same size and weight and it is one of my personal favorites, a real powerhouse. I'm missing that XIX.1 Chuck got though guys I tell you what, that was a nice bit o' steel. little JP's Xa.2 was really cool too, I felt like it was the kind of sword anyone could pick up and cut with right away. felt really natural.

I'll chime in here also, a bit late, but my schedule is a bit off from everybody elses.
I also received my sword from Tom and Hiroshi at TriedandTrue Armory on Weds. the 9th. It cam from Oregon on Monday the 7th to Ohio with no problems. It was packaged well and was pristine when it arrived.
All I can say is WOW folks. The sword is freaky sharp, I mean sharp as in watch your fingers and toes. The POB on the XIX.1 is exactly what I was hoping it would feel like in hand, this is a stout blade but responsive. I am so distraught over the fact that it is below zero outside and I cant go out to cut with it.
I highly encourage anyone who would like to acquire a sword of this type to contact Tom or Hiroshi directly and get one commissioned. The value is way beyond what they are priced at.
The highest praise I can deliver is to say that, I will definitely be a repeat TriedandTrue customer.

you know guys, if you want that awesomeness of the XIX.1 to grace your presence I would advise you to get in line and place a commission. Gus made three right off the bat and Chuck got the first one to be finished, but the next two have both been commissioned. we WILL make more but they are being popular and it seems likely they will continue being commissioned faster than Gus makes them. as for the next shipment, think bastard swords and tacticals. . . hint hint, any day now.

Got my XII.1 today!
OMG! Just went through a 35 bottles or so. Some were for the review, but most were trying to do this week's sword trick. I'm gonna post them both shortly, but you've never seen someone get so upset at all the silent cuts!

Bumping this up again.
I received my XIII 1326 from TriedandTrue, and much as expected, it rocks.
The TTA boys make buying a quality sword too easy, no muss no fuss, only quality products at great prices.
Thanks again Tom and Hiroshi.
