I don't have a good set of pictures of how my swords are displayed, and this isn't nearly everything. But here are some pictures I particularly like (click on image to see full-size). I'll add a picture or two every now and then, as I get pics that I like.

I'll have to make my wife look at it and Dave's collection so I can go see, I don't have too many swords, other people have more than me. I don't think she'll buy it but its worth a try.

We need a good review of the XIII 1326 Bastard.
There are no really good reviews of it, commenting on its handling characteristics. I have held off on getting one from Christian solely because of the scarcity of information available on it.

Would you care to share your thoughts on it?

Also, a very nice collection. I am quite impressed and moderately jealous

OK, OK, a lot jealous, but I am trying to not let you guys see me cry :oops:

My thoughts on the 1326 are that it is very light and fast handling with two hands. The wide blade cuts better than you would expect for such a light sword. I have no trouble cutting triple-rolls of tatami with it, and the blade's not even particularly sharp. It is useable in one hand, though the longer grip causes it to be a bit slow and a tiny bit cumbersome when used that way.

For a sword mostly used in two hands, it feels short for me. But that's because I am used to training with 36-37" blade longswords. So for me, it's neither fish nor fowl. I definitely like the XIIIb version a lot more. It is a fairly beefy single-hander, but is lightyears faster with the shortened grip. It compares very closely with Gus' old DD1404 that's reviewed in myArmoury's review section.

If you like moderate length bastard swords and plan on using it mostly two handed, the 1326 is a gem as far as performance goes.

I haven't done much with the Yeoman except handle it. But in handling, it's very sweet.

The Prince has a very small diameter grip, though it works OK for me without gloves or gauntlets. But it's intended for fighting in armor. That means gauntlets, and with gloves or gauntlets it's perfect. Very fast, great tip control, and it cuts better than it should.

Thanks for the insight on the Prince. I'm pretty certain my next sword will be one of the Albion XVI's (though I'm leaning toward the Squire, because of the grip and the possibility of getting a hilt elegant in its simplicity to contrast my fancier hilts) and that bit of info was just what I was hoping for from a trusted source.

And a wonderful collection, per usual. Curious to see some pictures of how you display all of them. I'm liking the Crecy, the H/T Fullered Bastard I got from Sean has started getting me more interested in the pointier cousins of the X-XII's that I typically like. Really liking the XVI's and XVIa's especially.

Nice catch. That is a custom pommel Tinker Pearce hand-made for me. There was a discussion about it on the old SBG forum. But here are some closeups from that thread.
