Sucker looks like a darn good buy for sub-$50. Hmmm.

The baked finish comes off easily with rubbing alcohol. I usually clean any gunk off my blades with rubbing alcohol, but when I tried it on the kukri machete and katana machete, the black finish came off on the cleaning cloth.

They have just been released in the UK, I've ordered one. I love my CS machete, but I wish it was more like a sword, so therefore the gladius should be perfect for me!

I have it, I've hardly cut with it, but I like it..... a lot Solidly built, reasonably sharp with a convex grind! Surprisingly heavy compared to a latin machete, the blade does seem somewhat thicker, and the handle obviously adds weight. It dry handles quite well, though the handle is quite hard and does hurt a bit with certain movements, eg. Figure of eight. Overall a good solid chopper, with a point like a needle. Lacking slightly in handling, but might be my inexperience with a European type hilt.

I too purchased one. I think it may be the ultimate home defense sword like object.

How well would this defend me against zombies?

if it's anything like the katana machete, pretty damn well, I'd say.
Also, this is a thread from January last year

Woah, I didn't even realize that.
Well, while were on the discussion, what can you tell me about the Katana Machete?

Well, it's tough as hell for a start. I used it with this www.trueswords.com/thick-jungle- ... -5006.html to take down a pretty big tree. I sharpened it with an accusharp (though it comes with a functional "chopping" edge) so now it can pickle chip milk jugs (my record is 8 cuts). Takes and holds an edge well. It's not as good as the linked machete when it comes to heavy chopping, but it's excellent for brush, branches, and medium sized wood. The kiriha zukri kissaki has the same sharpness as the edge of the blade, no distal taper. Nice and light (lighter than my Cheness Oniyuri) and a long handle so I could swing it all day with easy control. The handle has a lanyard hole at the end so you could wrap it in paracord if you want (and use the lanyard hole as the kashira). Should I review it? It may be more useful  Here's the photo album for that tree www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 739&type=3 It's an awesome machete, and I can honestly say that I'd trust it with my life on Z-day

I would love to see a review. I have been contemplating between this and a Gladius machete for the past few days, so I imagine a review may help me make the decision.
