Assassins' Creed sounds fun. I play Call of Duty all the time with my sons. Anything like that? FB

I'm going to get either the Windlass Coustile or Dark Ages Seax for Christmas. Don't know which one, but they were the only two things on my list. Lol. I'm way to excited to wait. No, it's a third person game. You see your entire character. They are fun games, you can run around on rooves, assassinate bad guys, save civilians from mean guards. All kinds of cool stuff. Good story as well, and the latest one(Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood) has multiplayer. You should check them out.

I treated myself to two Mashuu Dojo hickory bokuto which commemorate the 20th anniversary year of Shinkendo: None of these gentlemen is I. The photo does give a sense of how substantial the bokuto are. These are excellent for swinging and movement (suburi) but especially for partner practice (tachiuchi) where sword contact is common place. Better than the round waxwood swords we used to use, brcause It is easier to retain edge sense. Hickory can take a lot of punishment. length: 42 inches. weight: 1 lbs 6.75 oz. (leather tsuba are extra)

A copy of Oakeshott's "Records of the Medieval Sword." To all the "Assassin's Creed" talk: I'm not a video game person, but I always thought those games looked pretty cool.

You will not be disappointed. I'd recommend the first one as a starting point, simply because there are frequent references to it in the second; it also preps you for the combat system. In the first one, my favorite weapon is the short sword & throwing knife combo timed with a counter-stroke (the combat mechanics aren't the best, so you pretty much have to mash the attack button to overwhelm an enemy's defense, unless you wait for them to attack and then perform a counter-stroke which kills them instantly). In the second, my favorite weapons are actually the dual hidden blades, which you can actually fight with; perform double assassinations, ledge assassinations (where you hang from a ledge below your target), water assassinations (where you hide below the water), and my favorite, the eagle assassination (where you leap from a ledge to assassinate your targets).
Anyways, the game is quite expansive (but relatively linear, though not as linear as an FPS) with a rich story that spans the centuries due to it taking place both in the 12th century and the 21st (shortly before December 21, 2012, to be exact). In the category of 3rd person games, the Assassin's Creed games are my favorites (whereas the Halo games are my favorite FPS).

I think it would be neat if a video game of the Highlander Series would be available. I loved that series! FB

That'd be a pretty cool idea, actually, but since Highlander came out such a long time ago (relatively), a game seems unlikely.

Yeah, I know, but it would be neat. Because remember in the series, that guy was always running intio other "immortals" and they would have to fight. I can imagine the guy in the game doing that, being challenged, etc, whereever he went. FB

You'd probably be able to work in a multiplayer aspect, as well. And if they were smart, they'd roll it out a month or two before Christmas.

Ho Ho Ho, look what Santa left. Alpha Omega sword and an Alpha Omega dagger by Filmswords, for way better pictures and stats on dagger go to Albions site, there are no stats up on the sword but it is nearly identical to Albion Munich. hope everyone has a great holiday and you get something you don't really need but want badly. I got a bit of money, just trying to decide what I want to pull the trigger on, also got a gift card for a computer game place here as well. I've got a few ideas for what I want though top of the list is the semi custom atrim option from christian fletcher.
