I ordered this 9 weeks ago. That's not a long time to wait for a high end sword, however, at one point Sonny told me the sword was done and would ship on 30 Oct. Then things got a little stovepiped at Grapevine TX and my longsword got buried deeper ad deeper in the pile of unmailed debris.
Sonny was effusive in his apologies, but the sword wasn't showing up.
When it didn't arrive today I was pissed. I tried calling and only got the answering machine. When I got home from work I checked the VA site to look at the status of the order and the damned order form said it was "delivered" yesterday. That really got my head spinning, with visions of a missent weapon.
Before I tried calling Sonny again I looked outside on the porch. There it was. UPS must have arrived while I was changing. ( The delivery order asked that it be shipped to my job site. )
So anyway, FIRST BLUSH, 45 minutes old: TA DAAAAHHHH!
By the time I stopped to call Sonny, instead of wrath and fury the two of us were a couple of giggling school girls talkin smack about the bad boy sword I was fondling.
As consolation for the delay there is a lot of extra tooling on the scabbard. Didn't exactly expect the belt either. Antique Red sheath with light brown grip and belt. I'm really taken with this scheme right now...
This 36 inch bladed, 12 inch hilted son of lightning weighs a mere 1.8 pounds!!! THIS IS ONE FAAAST CUTTER
ANd it only takes one hand to do it with.
Review to follow.
Oh, Sonny says to tell everyone he's almost got things sorted back out, and hopes to soon be able to crawl out of the pile and resume his place on the boards.
