Ahhhhh, I didn't explore much beyond seeing it listed and not seeing the usual "out of stock" or "not available" remark in the listing. I never pursued it as the hilt doesn't tickle me cockle shells like a Cut N Thrust should, it looks more German Hand and a Half than anything.
Carry on.

I'd like to see the Loiten come back. There was one last Loiten I could find on the whole Internet, at Viking Shield, and as soon as I had the money to grab it (like $420) I went there to buy it -and someone had beat me to the punch.
The Towton is a great sword, handles great, looks beautiful. I already have one, but I'd love to see it available so others could experience it who missed out before.

Rautaportti has the Reinfelden, although the total cost of shipping it from Finland could easily come up to something slightly unreasonable.

Somehow, me too - even knowing they put the edge on the wrong side of the blade (the historical weapons it's based on had an almost straight back and a slightly concave edge clipped to form the point, almost like a reversed bowie knife). It just has this odd sort of charm to it, I guess. And, of course, Rautaportti has that one, too.

The Eastern Barbarian sword was already mentioned but around the same time was a Fantasy Bastard sword with a fluted brass pommel and forward curved brass guard. There was also a dagger(apprxly 8" blade) with a decorative wire spiral wrap. The Battle Witch and the Battle Troll, two longaxes should also reappear. Last one off the top of my head was a narrow leafblade spearhead.

About the stiffness of their blades: True, more often than not it seems, but they can do it right from time to time: the European, Classic, Towton, 15th C. Longsword,, Longsword, KoH models...all of these have not been qualified as too flexible that I know of (Why? Is it the fullers? Ricassos on the 15thC. and Longsword? Why those and not most others longer bladed models from WS?) The Erbach was too flexible for it's type (XVIII) but not that overly so...
About the original's length: thanks for the precision, it's true, in my memory the original was longer...still, I like the GBS fittings and would like them on a longer blade if they could come out with a stiff enough blade...ah, one can hope...

It's a couple of things, depending on the individual sword. All their sword blades are ground from ~5mm flat stock, AFAIK, so there's no variation in thickness between most models, and I've never seen a Windlass blade with real distal taper; given that, the things that generally affect floppiness are width (broader blades are stiffer), length (shorter blades are stiffer), profile taper (more dramatically tapered blades feel and act as if they were stiffer because there's less mass at the pointy end to make it flop around) and ricassos (a long ricasso makes the base of the blade stiffer, making it flex much more like a historical sword with proper distal taper would). Fullers don't seem to have much of an effect one way or the other, IME. I actually suspect they first grind the blades to a diamond cross-section and then grind in the fullers, which would explain why every fullered Windlass blade I've seen grows slightly but perceptibly thicker right where the fuller terminates. (The GBS is not fullered, unlike the original, which means the hexagonal forte remains the full thickness of the stock, another thing that makes it stand out favorably.) I found the stats of the original sword, the Wallace Collection A477, on Sword Forum International back when I was waffling over whether to buy this thing or not, and a great photo of the hilt posted by Sean Flynt on myArmoury.com. There are some obvious and really quite puzzling differences between the original and the Windlass reproduction attempt (though the latter is still a nice sword in its own right), like the number and placement of risers and the shape of the pommel and siderings.

I've kicking myself several times for missing out on the Windlass Barbarian Sword (also known to this thread as the one on the left).

Windlass did two different scimitar like swords that resembled each other, they did one that was a plain bade, and one with fullers.
I am not sure which one was which as far as name goes but I believe that the fullered one was the Eastern Barbarian/Mongol Saber/One on the Left.

As I understand it the "One on the Left" is the Mongol Saber. I have attached a photo of the Eastern Barbarian Sword. It is fullerless, but they may have once done a version with one. I'd like to see either or both of them return, but I think the Eastern Barbarian suffered from a lack of distal taper. A sadly common ailment among Windlasses. Fun fact: The Eastern Barbarian Sword was used by Ash near the end of the movie Army of Darkness. Attachments:

Ah, I can't believe I forgot this one! My all-time favorite Windlass sword was the 'Schwert'. Would love (love, love, love) if they brought this one back.
