Ah yes, I hadn't seen that one yet. I do like it. I think that is closer to what I had in my mind, but I do enjoy the way the VA Warder handles. (A friend of mine has one) That was more what won me over than the looks. Though I think it does have a pretty face too.

Time frame is something that someone may very well overlook when considering the content of some members collections. Some members have been working on their collections since the 1990s or even earlier.
Keeping an eye on the classified sections of various forums is very sound advice for expanding your collection, especially if you are looking for a discontinued model. Unfortunately for some, life happens, and they will dispose of some prize steel for a discounted price to raise ready cash, to fund another project, or they just lose interest.

Got some more of my armor in this past week: Chain Chausses: Infantry Gambeson: Leather Gorget: Leather Greaves: Leather Sabotes: and last the Kusari-Gama used in Ninja Assassin. I know its a cheesy movie but its one of my guilty pleasures:

Hi:
Very nice. Your layout has come a long way. Starting to look very professional. Says good things about your weapons and yourself.
Kudos.

Thanks Dave. Now I just need to get around to making a stand I can use for my armor. I have the blueprints for it, just need to get the supplies and do it.

Some new stuff. I'll also be updating the first post of this thread soon with some better pictures. German Mace: Mace I mounted from a brass mace head and oak dowel: The Head: The handle: An Archer's Axe: A spear head and but I will be mounting to make an asegai: A couple of shields I recently made and painted. They are modified Heater designs that are 35" tall x 20' wide x 3/4' thick: Padded upper leg armor with 14 gauge steel knees: Padded Greaves: A Tactical Death Talon Katana I picked up on a lark. Its actually not bad. I figured why not, I don't have any tactical blades or a TH katana and this filled both niches. The first thing I did was get rid of the bad carry system until I can modify to fit better: Updated pictures of how I have my stuff displayed: I just need to figure out what to do with the shields. I wanted to hang them above the Fireplace but the wife drew a line about that. Oh well, I guess I'll just be happy with all that I am able to display.

I got them from Kult of Athena, not sure who makes them. Technically, they are functional as they are forged carbon steel, but given they were $25 each and handle more like an axe than a sword, I Haven't tried using them. Mainly I got them for customizing into a set of God of War looking swords.
