Rammstein, when you are 16 mate NOTHING seems fair. I don't take real offence to your opinion because I know your age. Please don't forget I was 16 once and felt similar to what you are feeling now. It isn't age so much as the "time" it takes to learn something. Miyamoto musashi made his first kill at 15, but he was training for years for the same duration that you probably attend school. The older you get the more reserved you will become on such matters. I would never dis someone for their age, it reminds me of the old saying, " Your mouth is writing cheques that your body can't cash?". When you have devoted your life to a path, it becomes something more than understanding. Have you seen a movie called"The prophecy". Christopher Walken plays the angel Gabriel, and Eric Stoltz plays the angel Simoen, when asked why god doesn't talk to him anymore he responds " Sometimes you have to stop asking questions, shut your mouth and just do as your told ". Until you do this you will fail to see any point in any learning of anything. Sort of why Christians are always smiling, they have an unquestioning belief in their god and therefore relish in its totality. They don't do it with the thought" I wonder if god exists". They know he exists therefore they directly benefit from the bibles teachings. Sceptisism may seem logical to you, but until you succumb to a form of belief. You will always be left outside wondering ?

I'm back with some feedback on that light 2 lb 8 oz sword I was testing. My conclusion is that (for me anyway) it is just too light to be dependable. Yes, I can hit hard enough with it, when I mean to, but anything less then fullspeed will not be good enough. I have found this sword to be very good for pell practice. The lightness of the sword, requires me to throw my shots hard and fast. It also knocks the pell around less.
Moving up to 2 lb 12 oz made a significant difference in the impact. 3 lbs even more. All these swords were of short length, about 33 inches. I then experimented by putting a heavy pommol on one of the short swords, bringing it up to 3 lbs 8 oz. The sword was very powerful and still manageable because of its shortness and a pob 1 inch below the hilt. This was easier to rotate back and forth then a 3 lb, 42 inch sword I have experimented with. The pob on the 42 incher was about 6 inches down the hilt. When I put a pommol on the 42 incher, the pob came down to about 4 inches below the hilt, and the weight when up to 3 lb 8 oz. It was the same weight as the other sword I mentioned earlier, but much less maneuverable. It is becoming more clear that length and pob, play a bigger role in maneuverability and speed then the weight of the sword itself.
