VERY NICE!! How's the handle constructed? Can't see a peen or hex nut... so simply threaded?

Oooh! I know some annoying little swim team kids who go to the weight room where I work. Feel free to use them as human sacrifices. I won't mind at all. Maybe we can lure them to your house by telling them there's a super-huge party with under-aged drinking and bad- er... popular music!
I wanna see the scabbard too! Show meh! Show meh! ... Yeah, I know it hasn't even made yet.
.... YAAAATCH! And you tweest, generating so much powah *heavy breathing*... YAAAATCH!

Glad everyone like the grip For the record, it's not hot peened, it's tig welded. It was originally set up to hot peen before the change was made to the grip design. It wasn't going to be feasible (or at least not easy) to do a hot peen once the the grip had the same wrap. The same needed to go on first since it sits under the bronze, and the heat transferred through the bronze from hot peening the pommel would have caused the same to shrink and shrivel. So instead, some heat sink putty was put around the base of the pommel right before the same wrap and then the bit of the tang that extended through the pommel was tig welded to the pommel. It was done a tiny bit at a time, cooled in between to keep heat from transferring to the same.

I was intending to save my comments till this piece was finished, but this is freaking sweet! I think it is absolutely fantastic that you got one of your designs made into steel! I am inspired to attempt getting one of my designs created someday... ;D

I am inspired to attempt getting one of my designs created someday... ;D We have some truely talented artists in our community that seem able to bring any idea to life. I believe we are only limited by our spending cash ;D I'm loving how she looks so far and now Sonny has her and is preparing to work his magic. I'm betting she'll be finished by Dragon Con and since wearing swords on your hips in public is perfectly fine there, guess what? ;D
