Yeah it's stunning. Great concept, how the straps will appear to flow into the vinework.

I am loving this sword, the runes along the spine are an awesome touch. I can't wait to see what Jeffery comes up with. Out of curiosity what are you planning for the grip? Leather? Wood? Rayskin? Solid bronze? The flayed skin of non-believers? What is Cthulu? Violent aren't those metallica lyrics in your sig? I find that this handy tract www.hellblazer.com/media/chick-cthulu.html is an excellent introduction to Cthulu.

Ah, he is the thing that should not be! At last the song makes sense and here I thought they were on LSD or something when they wrote it.

That... That.... I have no words... I <3 it! I hate the original "Hey There, Delilah" song. I love this version though...;D That WAS awesome. And yeah, the orig ver is crap, especially when compared to the cthulu version. God, that was awesome. Er, I mean, 'Cthulu, that was awesome'.

wow that is really cool, must be costing you a packet though. I love Geoffrey's bronzes but I'd have to spend too much to get them made light enough for my tastes. Look forward to seeing fhtagn.

...but I'd have to spend too much to get them made light enough for my tastes... Why? Bronze is less dense than steel and weighs less; everything else is design which I am certain Geoffrey could manage.

Maybe he was thinking brass? I think Brass is denser (that spelling looks weird for some reason) than steel. Uh, am I wrong?

Thanks Dan And yes, yes I could. The reason bronze hilt parts are heavier than steel has to do with the reason someone generally wants bronze parts in the first place. That reason being that they want something very sculpted or elaborate and therefor larger than simpler steel parts. If someone doesn't want sculpted parts, it makes more sense to just use steel, it's stronger. A cross guard made in the shape of a dragon's head with horns is going to weigh more than a straight cross guard just because it's bigger. It's not a problem to make a bronze part with sculptural elements roughly the same size and weight as a steel part. However, making a large sculpted part even close to the weight of a smaller steel part requires a lot of extra work and engineering. Jeffrey, not Geoffry thanks

So I wake up this morning to this email in my inbox: Now I had told Jeffrey to just use my original sketch as a guideline and please let his artistic juices flow. Since he's a fellow cultist I was confident that he would come up with something that I would enjoy... ... He did not disappoint ;D Our dread lord would be pleased! edit: fixed links edit: fixed links, again... I'm too excited lol.
