My "simple" Kopis desire from the general thread has blossomed, and my budget has been blown out of the water. As of today I am having a sword made of my general design by the collaborative genius of Brendan and Jeffrey. Brendan crafting the blade and Jeffrey casting the bronze cthulhu and guard and fashioning the hilt. I will keep you all updated with pictures and news as I get them "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn." "In his house at R'lyeh dead Cthulhu waits dreaming." I was pleased to find in Jeffrey a similar love of Lovecraft and the Cthulhu mythos. He helped me settle on a name for this sword

Glad to see you are getting another design done! You make awesome designs, and this one doesn't fall short of that remark either! Make sure to do a review on it!

I got my school to order "Call of Cthulhu and Other Weird Stories" and I just finished "Call of Cthulhu". Found it amazing, and now I get the hype of the Mythos. Got to say that looks like it's going to be epic, now if only one could be made the right size for The Great Old One Itself to use

The mythos is amazingly detailed and oh-so-creepy For movies based on the Lovecraftian mythos I recommend "In the Mouth of Maddness" and "Event Horizon" Anyways, Brendan sent me pictures of the blade I want to share them, but I want to check with Brendan first to make sure he's okay with displaying unfinished work

From the looks of the pommel it is only ther head of Cthulhu, maybe you could shape the gaurd like Cthulhu's wings?

I'm leaving the final hilt design up to Jeffrey's masterful imagination and as a fellow Cthulhu fan I have full confidence that he'll come up with something great

I got the go-ahead from Brendan to post the pictures of the pre-heat treated blade And his words about it: "She's gonna be a wild chopper. You can see the primary bevel goes right up to the spine, so it's a very slim cross section. And she distal tapers a lot down to a very fine tip. It should slice like a razor."
