You do realise he is in WA right? Also you'd never get it through customs but I look forward to seeing it finished. I reckon you should green lacquer the handle. Bronze and green is such a sexy colour combo.

Bronze and green is such a sexy colour combo. WA... Washington? Or is that an abbreviation for some place down there lol? Also, laquering it green would be too much green. the bronze will have a sickly green patina when it's done giving it an ancient look. I had in mind a deep, deep, visceral red. Like old blood.

Since I've got this thread started anyways, I wanted to show off my other prized Cthulhu possession. I picked this up at the art gallery at Dragoncon one year. Sure there were lots of paintings and renderings of great lumbering beasts and tentacled horrors, but this one really struck me. It made me feel like I feel when I read Lovecraft's work. I felt the artist understood what the mythos was all about. It's not about the giant monsters, the painful dismemberments or the devouring of souls. There is something deeper, more sinister, more... eldritch. Sadly I have misplaced the slip of paper that held the artists name and title of the piece. I need to find it and tape it to the back of the painting. It's oil on acrylic.

That pic is extra creepy... I LOVE it! I vote for green grip also... it looks like the Guard and pommel are ment to be parts of the great old one... so it stands to reason the grip is as well. Besides, no such thing as 'Too much green'... ;D

Actually, Jeffrey and I are puzzling out something specific for the grip that I just thought of yesterday. I don't want to say too much about it yet, but if we can figure out how to do it, it'll look awesome

Just wanted to say that Fhtagn is almost completed. At least the sword part is. The scabbard work hasn't begun just yet. I'm still holding off any more pics until the sword itself is completed, but let me say this much.

I... Hate... You...
But I still love you.
... Wait, what?
The rayskin is perfect, though. It makes me in my pants. Yes, I realize that last sentence is missing a word. I'm totally jealous, by the way.

Thanks, guys. Yeah, I'm back! I have been for the last two weeks, too. ;D Dom T. phrased it perfectly, though... Well, except for that ONE sentence. I can't wait to see what Sonny does for that epic conglomeration of awesome-saucy-ness. -Slayer
