Woo manga/anime/etc. That poem is a little differet from what I remember, but as I've misplaced the scans I had, I won't argue too much until I find them. My avatar is awesome. I love rustle. I was so tempted to use the whole picture, but it's a bit...inappropriate. Can't see the cherry very well as it is, anyway. Would have lost a lot more with the whole thing. Oh and Kenshin was a good series, in it's day. Until it came to the US, that is...as usual... It's not stuck around this long for nothing. ...though most of it's popularity remains in yaoi fans and terrible, horrible cosplay...

Oh I didnt "Buy: it, it was givein to me, the guy was just beatting the swords to death, the first one I got from him, a standerd Katana, I made into five small knives, it was badly nicked, I like this sword and the Animie for it because of what Kenshin stood for, and a Little of Mushasi, being able to defeat your oponent without killing and doing more damidge to his ego to boot, that my freind, is classic......SanMarc. Hmmm yes, I hear you about the message of the manga. He'd rather put himself against the edge rather than put the enemy or any person, quite noble. But there is something about it that has always bugged me big time...Why does the vast majority of main characters in mangas of weekly shonen jump has the same resolve about killing (except kira...hehehehehe).And I learned from the japanese there is rules for most shonen jump main characters by the editorial depertment. Which kind of killed it for me. Anyways the funny thing is my main character (one of two)does the same thing you did.He gathers swords from the battlefield and makes many many disposable knives from them which he sticks people with and sometimes doesn't bother pulling out.Far from a good guy...

HAHAHA yeah!Otakus huh? They're the reason I question my thing for manga every turn of the way. Also, isn't it pure evil when the US takes someones life work and adapts it to it's "taste"?I mean, speed racer?Astro boy?Robotech?WTF? They're called:mach go go go(brilliant wordplay in japanese),Tetsuwan atom (mighty-as-iron atom),macross and what the semprini became WTF!A vile dishonoring action I tell you!

Ah, yes, good ol' "Robotech." So many series all bastardized into one. Terribly.
I'm still working on watching all the originals, put away the entirety of SDF Macross a few months ago, tried a few episodes of Mospeada but didn't find it too interesting, the others and the Macrosses since don't really interest me...
Just don't get me started on "Cardcaptors." *lovingly caresses all 18 volumes of "Cardcaptor Sakura," weeps*

[Hmmm yes, I hear you about the message of the manga. He'd rather put himself against the edge rather than put the enemy or any person, quite noble. Actually, Kenshin didn't exacty chose to use the sakaba himself. See, when he met up with Shakku after the war, he explained that he wanted to live as a swordsman who didn't kill. Shakku called it a weak joke and handed him the sword, basically going: "Alright, try it. See how long you last. This sword isn't made for killing, but it's probably too heavy for you anyway." It's really more symbolic of the burden Kenshin carries, being a former killer who tries to use his strenght exclusively to save lives. I dunno. I habitually read a ton of shonen stuff and quite often the protagonists have no trouble killing bad guys at all. And even in manga where no one is ever killed, the reasons for it are often glossed over in the context of the story. It's actually kinda rare to see non-killing as an outspoken ideal of a specific character like Kenshin. Just don't get me started on "Cardcaptors." *lovingly caresses all 18 volumes of "Cardcaptor Sakura," weeps* Oh hells yeah! *high fives*

Yeah, I allso watched the first run of the space battle ship thingy right up until it was put off the air, And the modern mantra in a US we won the war kinda thing, but going back to M Musashi, he found it boring to kill every opponent and much more satisfying to just make them lose "Face" Worse than death it self in Medieval Japan.....SanMarc.
And Now ya guys lost me as I have run out of my Magna that I watched when I was yunger.....

Just don't get me started on "Cardcaptors." *lovingly caresses all 18 volumes of "Cardcaptor Sakura," weeps* Oh hells yeah! *high fives* Yeah, quite on the spot. The way I took Shakku's line in was more in the direction of "if you're gonna fight without killing intent you're as good as dead with guys like Hajime or Makoto out there so you might as well use this suicide tool.If you somehow survive long enough to break it come back and I'll fix you another one."Of course shakku being the cynicist he was he also had an eye for people and he knew Himura would be alright because of his resolve. That's why he made a second sakaba-to and let it waiting in case he died before Himura came back.Shakku is barely even seen in the whole thing and I like him a lot. I was talking about sonen jump characters (Son-Goku,Luffy,Naruto,Ichigo,kenshin) not sonen in general. But even generally sonen ones rarely kill with intent. I mean look at the most popular ones even outside of jump...ex. Edward Elrick from Hagaren...no killing,he was going on and on about it.If you're thinking of guys like Guts from Berserk or Manji from Mugen no Juunin these are not shonen manga (like 7-15) they're seinen (16-20something),in the same category with akira or ghost in the shell. Poor cardcaptor Sakura...I used to watch it with a girl and every time Tomoyo's mother showed up I would be like "GOD HOTNESS I WANNA BANG YOU SO HARD"and she would throw a fit about how you're not supposed to say that about a mother...So I changed to every time Touya showed up an' I was like "What?I know you're thinking the same thing I'm just man enough to say it". Also respect on the Hook line,it was my first time in the cinema and one of my favorite ones until today...terribly ignored though.

Tomoyo's mother is too high-maintenance for me, then again, so is Tomoyo. Sakura is more my type but I could go for Mei Lin in a pinch. ...What? They were 12 ten years ago, they're legal now. Stop looking at me like that. Speaking of violent Shounen, I'd been reading Sakigake! Otokojuku for a bit and it was pretty hardcore. The 80's was really the epitome of shounen, new stuff just doesn't compare. I stick to seinen and shoujo mostly, myself. ...what? Yeah, the original Pretty Cure is still one of my favorites and CCS is an epic I revisit at every opportunity. Got a problem?

I don't think it's the cover, no, but it may be contained within. I found in on Gelbooru through a search for the artist, was a number of sourceless images. Need to buy Diploma Mill sometime, and several of his other books like Stripe Cats and Light-R, though I do have several already. Hard to find importers. I prefer E-Hentai for doujin ( g.e-hentai.org/ ) scans but if I can't find 'em there I hit TokyoTosho. Keep forgetting about Fakku etc. My faves are Rustle, Nekgogen, Higashiyama Shou, Ujiie Moku, Mizu, Sekiya Asami (these are Japanese naming convention btw) and I could go on but I'll leave it with my tops. I took a moment to look up the ones you mentioned, only glanced at a few covers granted but I'm going to have to look deeper into Makongdelta. Couldn't find anything on Yamagouchirow. Tried a few spellings. Edit: Just checked Rustle's blog and yes, it was the cover. Shame on me, I should have known.

No...no problem ...just...y'know....they're 12 'n all...but 's cool I say... Seriously though old stuff is big,we rarely ever get to see something good in the 00's.Y'know what grinds my gears? Whenever I talk about anime all kinds of geeks asume it's series,I mostly favor movies...namely Porco Rosso and memories would be two.

I don't much bother with movies, myself. I want something to whittle away DAYS, not HOURS. This season, on that note, is BAD. Ladies Versus Butlers? Chu Bra? Seriously? At least Cross Game, Kimi ni Todoke, and the like are still running...then there's always Hanamaru Youchien. That's a fun show. I want a Hiiragi. Then there's the new Hidamari Sketch. Mmm, Yuno... ...er... Hey, 12 is legal in some places. Besides, it's SAKURA. She's worth it. ...or...well...would be...

Ok, I have the pic of said sword and my SpeedRacer car that I got before the movie came out...... So as you can see, I changed out the pot mettle tsuba for a bronze Tsunami one that I had laying around, and the lack of polish, but I got most of the rust and tree sap off....SanMarc.

You scare me shitless man...Gelbooru?E-hentai?Do we all share the same background after all?OK let me take a guess just to test it.You were coo coo about dinosaurs at some point in your life...right?Anyways when it comes to hentai artists I give myself the creeps cause I developed this thing for Kagami's stuff,he's too freaking hardcore! But my guys would be shiwasu no okina and yamatogawa.Funny thing is while you might not get a job as a manga artist hentai artists are always well employed, even the worst ones...what does that tell you about people?

*looks around* Well, this thread got derailed fast. Also, Random, from now on it's officially your fault if everyone else considers us anime/manga fans to be perverted deviants to a man. Even if it is true.
