I like Brendan's version better than the movie version. Does that make me a heretic?

Given the gods of ancient days reached down, touched Brenno, and said "Thou shalt make swords worthy of our hands...."
Ummm... No. Liking Brenno's work better does not make you a heretic.

Brenno you are killing me man i thought we were buddies and you torture like this That is magnificent whithouth a doubt one of the most beautiful swords i have ever seen. The blade shape is just so smooth and easy comming from the langets and having a finer point gives the blad a wider look at it's broadest point. The Bronze's look super cool i'm sure BB is as proud with what you have done with them and the grip is super sweet. You opted for the non leather wrap then huh? The wood looks beautiful. I only wish i could be there to hold it and see it in the real as i'm sure it's at least ten times better. I looked on your page to get a better look at the etching but still coudn't pick it up well but what i saw i loved(another tear hits the keypad) now if i could only get the funds Maybe i'll become a hitman? Oh i wish i believed in Santa!

Oh man that looks fantastic! The blade shape is great with the guard and that burl wood is gorgeous. The way the grip bulges near the riser looks a little funny to me but that wood is Soho pretty. The whole sword would probably look good with the pommel from the other Conan sword. The lighter bronzes look really good with that grip. Great work!

Ahhh Ric, a doubter hey? hehe. Glad you like her. JK - Thanks for the support mate. I always loved the bronzes on the movie sword but never the blade or grip. I especially love the ricasso /langettes setup. Thats so cool. Seth, thanks, it's good to come up with something interesting and new. Especially since I don't have the equipment to follow Albion and Jody's Work with hollow grinding etc. So I will play my own game. Nial - I'd like to do a simlar blade shape for my next Father's sword. Doesn't the wood just crap on any piece of leather? They are like looking into a gemstone, and the colours complement the bronze patina so well. I also plan on doing a similar polish and patina on the new father's parts. I'm really happy with the contrasting rough and smooth textures as well as teh darker and lighter patinas. There's a lot of beauty in the landscapes of the metal. Maybe I can get you a clearer pic of the engraving. Hey Jeffrey, I thought that myself that the sword would look great with the hoof pommel. Funny we think alike. And yeah, the colours do work great together. Caramelicious. The grip is a little skinnier than the bronzes where they mate. I am considering adding blackwood spacers at each end to help compliment the main one, and transition a little better to the bronzes. The swelling in the middle was to work with the ricasso shape. The dead straight grips irk me. How are your swords going? Have you had a chance to cut with the Barbarian?

Add the risers, that would really set the grip off even more.
That blade is cool beyond description, you sir have a gift and your work of late is worthy of much envy.
I told you that your Viking inspired sword was equal to Celtic Wolf in my eyes. Well I'm really gonna step in it this time because if I owned the sword above I would fling Celtic Wolf into the nearest river for posterity.
No offense intended to John either, just my .02

Brenno i think your new father's will be a winner with a blade like this. Like i said i really like the longer smoother point and i think this design will compliment the Father's well. You know me man i will always love the original Father's above all and i love leather but that has got to be one of the most beautiful wood grips and well piece's of wood to boot i have seen. It is like you say just like looking into a gemstone or a magical pool. For me i deff don't see the hooves pommel on there and as to grip shape i like the shape on your Viking style blade but this one's well nice. I'd leave off the risers. Yeah i wanna see the engraving(salavate's) ;D I love that Odinblades wolf sword too but i'd cast it in the river no worries for this. No insult intended at all there as that is more than a fine sword. Tell tou what Brenno a Father's with a Damascus blade would just about put me in the hospital...or mental ward?
