Watch out for hoop snakes in hilly territory. They hold their tail in their teeth and roll down hill gaining momentum and then sink their fangs real deep. My brother in Conyers Ga. says he has been bit twice! I know all about hoop snakes... I'm only 30 minutes from Conyers... Went to the late Hank's house out there a couple of times ...RIP.. Anyway the hoop snakes love to hang out at construction sites... they curl around the 2x4 stretchers ..... in garages they tend to hide in the blinker fluid boxes...

Maybe we'll find that rogue drop bear that Shadow saw! *I* didn't see it... Utilityslave saw it. If I had seen it I would be to scared to ever leave the house again. Marc: Shhhh! semprini says 'Exnay on the Aeanycha'... he says he has a hard enough time finding people willing to go hunting with him as it is, and he likes to keep a 'low profile' about it now, and bring free beer, so people will still invite him.

Up here in Virginia the Hodag lizards have eaten all the snipe and like to nest in blinker fluid boxes, but its too cold for hoop snakes so my 2x4 stretcher has been safe, thank god.

Ahem......it just keeps getting deeper........I mean better. We definitely need to get Slayer and semprini on some snipe. We'll just have to be sure to watch for the hoop snakes and drop bears and whatever else may come down in Narnia........I mean Georgia. I wonder if the Hodag lizards have migrated that far south yet?

It means that it's time to INFORM ME!!!!!!!!! now start talkin', or else....;D lol, but seriously, what is snipe and what is snipe hunting? P A snipe is a small flightless bird native to the south... it resembles a kiwi....long beak and all... Snipe hunting is simple... it is done with a bag and sticks... You find a gully , or ditch or ravine to act as a natural funnel, to channel the snipe... Th new guy stays in the funnel and waits on the snipe, with the bag. The more experienced guys go out and flush out the snipe by beating bushes... they run it into the funnel, and the guy with the bag catches it... it runs right in the bag,,thinks it is a hiding spot.... snipes are nocturnal, so it is always done at night...

It looks like Slayer and shadowhowler BOTH need to go on a Snipe hunt. My god, you guys should have been Boy Scouts (you're young enough to still join, right?). It's a tradition with Boy Scout troops in the USA to take new Scouts on Snipe hunts.
Bring lots of peanut butter. It's the Snipe's favourite food...

Slayer. snipe hunting is sort of a right of passage for many growing up in certain regions of the US. Boy Scouts are often initiated into the hunt. Can be outragously funny and a real good time if organized right.

I didn't have a CLUE as to the 2x4 stretchers, but other than that (oh, and the snakes, I saw them on the discovery channel years ago; fakes), I totally believed you, lol. You guys crack me up . I don't mind laughing at myself either, so well done, guys! But if you want REAL humor, see this: ....And Slayer has assured us he can't be easily tricked now! And my response:
