Here is another update of my suit of armor. I decided to wear this for the Halloween social at my college. Not only did i not get arrested or dragged out by security...i scored 2nd place The pics are not very clear sorry, dark room, useless camera. I went as a Demon Hunter The helmet is not finished, i just put it together roughly last minute for the social. It still has a long way to go. Tell me what you guys think!

i haven't made a back piece yet due to my fighting style. I like to think of myself as a sort of tank, walk in and waylay everything in front of me. Then, i don't have to worry about anyone getting behind me I deal head on with everything, i prefer a 6 foot sword so i cant really focus on close quarters or people behind me. Gotta kill em all before they get a chance to go around. No mater how good you are, or how long your sword is... you'll find your self in mid, short or grappling range at some point. All it really takes is one decent cover to pass into close range.

It might be a cheap camera but the redeye adds to the overall effect the helmet is defiantly the Pièce de résistance, and adds that extra dimension to the whole outfit. Looking at the armour I would defiantly look getting some system to fill in the gaps, and maybe some kind of chain mail skirt to protect your groin, you wouldn’t want to get stabbed in the old crown jewels.

Nah, I'd use a flap of something, probably leather, and rivet more discs to it. A nice leather skirt works wonders...

Neither were most warriors in history. But Roman Legionaries did. As did Greek Hoplites and the armoured skirt survived into the last days of plate armour. They knew that even the best codpiece was a sad second to stopping the blow before that hammer, axe or sword hit you in the balls...

true enough, cause nobody really likes getting hit in the balls by anything... I'm just not sure how the get up would look with a armor skirt, It's more for show than anything else but i think that's pretty obvious lol. I am definitely going to make a back piece for the get up and figure something out for the front, just not sure yet how I wanna go about it.

I think that when the apocalypse comes, you'll make a tidy living producing such armour for your neighbours.
