Wow... How long does it take you to do that kind of leather tooling? The intricacy of it is very impressive. I myself like the darker brown colors as opposed to the lighter ones which have shades of yellow or baige in them... but the leatherwork itself and the design are awesome.

wow that’s beautiful, I love the intricacy it just shouts quality. If it was for me I would prefer a darker leather, but that’s just personal taste.
If you don’t mind me asking how much do you charge for this kind of work?

Thank you gentlmen. It takes quite a bit of time, both in the design process, and finishing work.
This particular scabbard will run a little over $600, but I haven't added it up yet.

Brian, excellent work. Fits the blade in both design and no doubt fit as well like a glove.

Hmmm... This is a very beautiful scabbard. For my personal tastes, it's a bit overdone - I like my decorations a bit more understated. However, this is just a personal opinion. Furthermore, it's a very "modern" one. It's my understanding that in medieval Europe, those who could afford to really enjoyed "flaunting" their wealth as a status symbol, and would heavily decorate everything they could with vivid colors and complex engraving. So really, although I personally don't like it that much, it's really well done. Bravo

I love this one. More so even than pictures of my Gotland scabbard. I particularly like the way the design changes where the belt strapping will end. The intertwined lines of the center bottom, with the bordering around them, are exquisite. And I think it will look even better when it gets the belt strapping done. Seeing all these new scabbards is making me look around my walls at naked swords, longing for scabbards of their own. If I can just get past the first of the year... maybe I can swing one... or two... or...
