Glad you got a sword you like.
I don’t usually go for pipebacks, but this model would definitely be an exception. From the photos, it seems to be a very nice acquisition.
I really like that wire wrap, too. Schmancy!

I really like that wire wrap, too. Schmancy! The wire is very nice, it is basically the British 1822 but with a brass guard and some changes. It also is definitely different to the wire on the 1860 saber, I’m glad that I was able to pick one up as it’s getting more scarce

Apologies, I’ll get more pics of it, this is all for now Sorry for the not so great photos, I’m on my phone To show you what can be done, the photos in the threads linked below were taken using inexpensive ZTE or Motorola cellphones, and edited into jpegs under 1 megabyte for posting here, using an old copy of Photoshop Elements no better than a lot of free photo editors that will run on an Android phone. Given the size limit here plus phone camera improvements in recent years, using my professional Fujis and Nikon optics here has become a waste of capacity and effort. Modern cellphone camera apps will allow you to use a lot of pro settings, if you learn how to apply them.
I hope that this inspires you (and many other posters who see this) to show us some equally decent pics. You now have no excuse for anything less.

To be honest I’m using the “add attachment” option instead of doing something different that’ll help the quality of the photos. I hope you aren’t too disappointed in me

I don't store my pics elsewhere and link them, because I want them to be available as long as the site is. We lost a lot of pics when Photobucket got greedy. Pics are an important part of the forum. I was just showing what can be done with a cell phone, good light, and a little care.

Well, thank you for not sending your wrath to me lol. The last time I sent good quality pics, was when I used google drive which was a long while back, I’m sure I’ll figure it out

I hope these are better pics for you all, hopefully tree slicer won’t slap the cuffs on me and call me out for the bad pics again, In all seriousness, I am sorry for the amateur pictures, when I can actually get better picks, and there should be no excuse especially for a sword that people probably would want to see, if you all want more please let me know as now I have a neat little tool that’ll help me get better pics of the date and inscriptions on it.

You didn't, by chance, pick it up at that Poulin auction a few weeks back, did you? I was bummed I lost that auction, lol.
