I'm selling this Maciej Kopciuch/Art of Swordmaking Classic Medieval Sword/I:33 manuscript type sword for $899 shipped in continental US (USPS ground with signature confirmation). I bought this last year directly from Art of Swordmaking and I have just dry handled it and kept it oiled since. A really great sword and an exceptional maker, I'm willing to sell now just to focus and because I'm definitely keeping a similar one by Maciej. Sword description and pics at Art of Swordmaking here: artofswordmaking.com/gallery/classic-medieval-sword-/-i33Maciej also posted a youtube video showing his exhaustive testing/proofing of this particular sword; after all that, there's literally no sign of wear or damage at all...really amazing, and a neat little bonus to owning this particular sword. Thanks.

Well, after watching that video again (been a while), I will not be disappointed at all if this doesn't sell!

The hell kind of steel and magic is this thing made of? Never seen a sword hit steel on steel contact like that and not get any noticable damage whatsoever.

My guess is his philosophy on sharpness plays into this somewhat, his edges being duller no doubt makes them more durable, impressive nonetheless. Man clearly knows his steel and heat treatment.

I already loved his swords as is, but this video really put that level of respect even higher than it already was lol. Very impressive tests. Mind boggling. 899 is also a killer deal for one of his swords.

Man…if I hadn’t already bought several pieces lately, I’d snatch this up in a heartbeat. Killer deal.

Yeah Todd and Andy, it's a really awesome sword, and I'm ok taking a bit of a loss because there's a real value to what I've learned by owning, examining, handling, and appreciating this sword (and the others that I've recently sold). Also, I'm happy to move it along to someone else will get to appreciate this sword too and its skilled maker.

Wanted to share some added info from a related PM:
Weight/handling: A member noted that the weight specs seemed a bit high for this length of sword. However, to me it handles really well, and I find it remarkably similar in feel/handling to an Albion Sovereign that I own.
Sharpness: Almost but not quite as sharp as my Albion Sovereign and Incarius Craft Type XXI/XXII (I think that's the type), and noticeably less sharp than my Angus Trim and Valiant Armoury swords.

I adore that hilt design. It'd've be the third bow-tie crossguard and wheel pommel combo in my collection and thus on brand. Glad someone snagged it, too!
