Well she took her camera with her so I didn't get a chance to tape anything. And I use three 2x4s nailed togther I would use a sawn off circle from a log but I have no way of getting that at the moment.

There is another way, but it takes investment. Take 2) 4"by4" by 8's , and cut them into 3' lengths. You'll end up with 2 pieces 2' long, and 4 pieces 3' long. Lay the three 3' pieces down on the ground and draw a line down the center. Half of three foot is 18". then draw a center line on your 2" boards, and line these up with your other pieces. one on top and on the bottom. This should give you a surface area of 28" high by 36" wide at the widest point. Now you'll need a couple of pieces of 2 by 4 to screw down the back. And viola, tough target. Build the legs to the height you like and try it out. It'll cost about $30. plus the legs. Either way, glad I am not the only one crazy enough to throw in winter! ;D

That sounds like a good target if what I have in my head is what you have in writing, I was thinking of taking a couple 4x4s and cutting maybe 6" pieces off and then gluing them the surfaces together so that it made a square and then throw at that, this way I would be throwing into the grain instead of at the hard surface of this kind of wood.
Either way my biggest issue right now is the sharpness of my blades, like you said in your video, if I had a long bevel it would be hard to sharpen it back after a chip and since I'm throwing over top of concrete...well chips aren't uncommon. I actually slammed the edge of one of the hawks into the hammer poll on the back of the one I had stuck in the target so I chipped a nice big chunk off of one blade, thankfully it's on the lower portion so I'm not too worried atm.

Yeah the boards need to have vertical grains, I forgot to point that out. As far as sharpening, I still plan to do a video. I'll probaly do that one next. Have you tried to sharpen or change the bevel? I ask because it can be a pain to change the blade geometry. If I can help in any way let me know.

I need to get a metal sander belt for my belt sander and then I should be able to change the Bevel angle, right now it is way to steep.

Thank a lot, absilits, great video, +1 to you Start studying shuriken-do on my backyard this year. Nothing fancy, just a couple of spikes from "Home Depot" and cardboard targets ( when I done with them, they do right into recycle bin ) But axe throwing... man, it's so tempting. Will try it next summer

I look forward to hearing more, for sure. ;D

You should post this video and your others as video responses to other semi popular axe throwing videos, this one doesn't seem to be getting as many views as the last one.

Things that don't make too much noise inside as I hate cold weather. lol

Honestly, Bishop, I dont know how. I'm not very computer savey. What exactly did you have in mind? Hey Sam, What type of knives do you throw? Regular throwing knives or bowies? Just curious, I"m a Bowie man myself.

Okay so all those are tomahawk related, now what you can do is click on any video(those links or otherwise) and right above the comments section it says "post a video response" in blue text, if you click that it'll take you to another page and there's three categories, you want to click "choose a video" and then select the drop down box and select the title of one of your videos.
Now I'm not sure but I think if you try and post the same video on multiple videos that it will remove the previous response. So you should choose one with a lot of views, and if the guys approves it then your video will be linked right underneath his and hopefully it'll get your videos more recognized.

Well I'll be damned! I responded to a few of those, but one or two wouldn't let me. It didn't give the option. Thanks Bishop, I didn't know I could do that. Any time you want to request a certain video, I'll make it my next priority. ;D ;D Thats awesome!

hehe, no problem dude. Another thing you can do, is I noticed on your videos the only tags you have are "axe throwing hand" if you go to your video and click "edit video" you can change the tags, I would just add as many things as you can to that that are related to tomahawks, knife throwing whatever and it'll get itself in more search results.
Youtube can be a funny place to trick into watching your videos, for example this video I made I named it "surprise buttsecks" and it has 2,000 views while my others only have a couple hundred
So yeah, things like that can trick people into coming to your video and the more tags you have the more search results it'll pop up in.
