It is an honor to be permitted to listen to and observe a master. I thank you. Thank you very much for your kind words, a very rare sight to see!

I have tried the newspaper targets, they are much tougher than real meat and bone (the bone analogue seems pretty close, but the paper is quite a bit tougher than meat). It being tough itself isn't bad, but sourcing newspaper in bigger quantities is near impossible nowdays in Europe. They are also pretty thin, one thick newspaper is only a 5cm roll at most without core. Printed newspapers are quite dead here.
The collapsible umbrella stand is a good idea, have to look if I can find one. I use polypropylene water pipes on a stone filled umbrella stand, it works, but that thing is 30kg heavy and moving it bothers me so much that I sometimes just ram the pipe into the earth until it stands by itself. The polypropylene is also much less destructive to a blade when it hits the stand, also no screws or nails.

Combat Ranking Cutting Test #2: The test that corrected the ranking
In the last test, some ppl said it was straight swords vs Supreme Cutter Classic, so that's why Supreme Cutter Classic won. This time I pitted curved sword against it. The result corrected some of my expectation.

Good luck with your sword design Lancelot, I hope the production version turns out well.
As you do a lot of test cutting - Do you plan to introduce cloth covered medium to your tests? I think if you covered your usual soaked newspaper 'tatami' with a cheap cotton towel, some plain thick cotton cloth simulating a jacket or maybe an old pair of jeans, it would add an interesting new variable to these tests.

If you watched the first test cut of Supreme cutter classic, it went through a thigh with clothing on.

You have been making impressive videos demonstrating your Supreme Cutter Classic. How many times have you resharpened that sword, even a minor touch up?

Watch this one. Nice! I missed this one as I only briefly watched the videos before, fast forwarding a lot. Slow motion really shows all the things that can go wrong cutting fabric if the sword is not sharp enough. What grit do you use for edge finishing? Btw, I remember you from that post on Albion's Brescia Spadona on myarmoury all those years ago. Good to see that you are still at it
