Up for grabs is a custom Pikula XIII With Scabbard. I had the grip changed. 1700 USD shipped in the US. Was way more expensive than this when first sold. PayPal F&F.

Oh boy... wish I had funds. Michael Pikula is one of the few smith's who's work I've always wanted a example of but have not yet had. π

Man what happened to the market? Sometimes it seems like this hobby is dead for most intents and purposes...and I am really quite certain that the secondary market is legit gone, with the usual exception of Albions for HEMA guys. Just hang onto this beautiful piece.

I remember the original was in the Cluny exhibit - "Swords, myth and legend" (or something like that).
You have a Tritonia, right? How do they compare in stats and handling?

Unsure how interested I am in ~1100-1600 period, but the following might help sell...
A "flat" overall pic as the last pic is angled & rug hides the point. That pic would also confirm present grip. Also basic stats (length, weight).
This should sell, Michael's work is too good.

Blade is 27 3/4 long and 2 3/4 wide. Last picture shows the new grip. Blade tip is rounded like others of the same type.

What swords would you consider in a partial or complete trade?

The new grip is very nice! So many here know much more than I, but am I correct in assuming that this sword would believably date ca. 1200-1300, and probably not prior? I'm basing this on the article here: myarmoury.com/feature_spotxiii.htmlIt seems very closely based on the examples shown with shorter blades and similar hilt/pommel design, the couple illustrated which are being dated around 1250 give or take a bit. I'm very interested although I've been actively looking for something comparable albeit @ a century earlier. but as I keep looking at pics of this, it's really growing on me... Awesome piece.

What swords would you consider in a partial or complete trade? Upper end custom swords and production swords. European and some Japanese. Some custom fantasy as well.
