Selling a custom fullered bastard sword that came from Ernie at Yeshua's... A beauty to look at, but time for it to move on. All it's done is sit in the case. I'd put it as a XVa but my typology is a little rusty as I've moved on from sword collecting. Handle is teak burl and done only the way Ernie can do it... Stunning work as always. Overall length: 43" Blade: 33" Handle: 7" POB: 4" Weight: 2lb 9oz (it was 2.8** so I rounded up) Quick in the hand, and very responsive. Excellent point control. Small area of light surface rust on the pommel that I removed, and that is the only noticeable blem I can find. Asking $850 plus actual shipping in a rifle case, but open to serious offers. Would possibly trade for an Atrim longsword, but it would have to be something pretty special. High res pics available, just send me your email.

Did he make the blade too? Yes and no? It was a H/T blade he had in his shop that he completely reworked. In hindsight, we both agreed he should have started from scratch. It would have resulted in the same blade, but would have been easier for him and cheaper for me.

Doesn't look like he did too awful much to the blade, straightened the profile, reduced the taper... one of the best uses of a H/T blade I've seen so far!

Good eye… If I remember correctly, he straightened/evened the fullers, reprofiled the edges and distal taper, and completely refinished the surface. Also added a nice cutting edge. When that was done, he went to work on the fittings and handle. Just the teak burl he used was about $80-100 in material.
