Obviously missed that part, thanks for confirming. The mock ray skin feels better and is tightly fitted compared to the the faux leather used on the Yan Ling. I've never felt genuine ray skin so I can't comment on how authentic it feels but I think the texture is nice.

Love the yan ling dao, hate the scabbard, glad the new one addresses the scabbard bunching issue and hopefully they implement it to the yanling cause its really bad, swords half the price dont have that issue

the texturing looks nice, so much better than the other picture. Tandy Leather generally has small ray skins (tanned as leather, not right for Japanese tsuka), so it would be an interesting side-by-side picture.

Albion Valkyrja with custom scabbard by VA just finished, I'm very pleased with their work as usual Love that sword. I would hope to have one of those as a center piece to my collection way in the future. Those close up pictures really solidified that for me. Thanks for sharing.

The Valkyrja is such a good looking sword... maybe one day. Oh, slight correction on the scabbard of my Wo Yao Dao. The faux ray skin is not as well wrap between the first 2 iron fittings. The rest is good and tight, just loose there.

I don't normally get to post here, as it's so seldom I acquire anything, but recently I've treated myself to these two: Moro is antique, bought via eBay from Alan S Cook of the UK. Spent more than I wanted to, but it called to me. Smaller, Indonesian blade is off modern make, but really nice and I got it quite cheap from Keriscollection of Indonesia. Small blade is about 13", larger I can't recall but 20+. Can't find my scale, but the big one is HEAVY. Ergonomics are, coincidentally, a really good fit for me. I quite like it.

Absolutely phenomenal looking. The rose motif on the polished black handle in combination with the black blade make for an elegant and sinister design.

That’s a nice looking seax. All the elements are very crisp and even. Wes’s work just gets better and better. Congrats!

My Incarius viking is done and has shipped, here is a couple photos that Rafal took before it was packed up. Bronze & silver inlay hilt & pommel type H viking. Gorgeous! What kind of a queue time does he have?

What kind of a queue time does he have? This took about 6 months total but was ready in 4 months but I had to postpone it to take care of some family issues. It seems his que varies depending on how complex the build is, this one was very complex as the time to take to do each section by hand alternating bronze & silver.

Not too bad considering that yeah, if he did this with the proper wire inlays (which requires making undercut grooves, between 12-22 per cm, and then hammering in tiny wires), it would be a very finicky piece of work!
