Forja Fontenla Alexandria just purchased from StormMaster: Better outdoor pics coming soon guys. Congrats! I wondered who got that beauty...I was severely tempted as the price fell but the smith was unknown to me...

Yeah that's a great looking piece. And an equally nice scabbard!

Exactly the right amount of "roughness"!

Busy times, "frustration buys" and cleaning out sales coming in and going out: Balinderry style viking sword made by Viktor Berbekucz, Hungary. Blade made of tempered 51CrV4 steel, sharp. Wooden grip wrapped in brown leather. Guard and pommel are cast iron. Blade length: 750 mm Total length: 900 mm Blade width: 45 mm Weight: 980 gr (sword) A little too narrow and too light for Holgers taste, but for me its super cool! Very good work for the price of 299 Euro with scabbard included. A shieldmaiden's sword! Good edges, straight, centered fuller, slight secondary bevels, a few grindmarks (easy to polish out). Very nice!

Very nice. I like the stats, too. 980 grams is f*king CRAZY; i weighed it myself! Even the H/T Viking is 1150 grams; not to speak of Holgers old DelTin!

Yeah. Very svelte for a full size sword. I like it. One of my DelTin Vikings weighs over 1.6kg! It’s a lot to handle.

Storm, I’ve run out of superlatives to react to your collection. Just...breathtaking ...awe inspiring ... hmm. I’ll keep working on it. 😮

A question to the experts, please: this sword with its narrowness and light weight seems to take place at the lower limits of historical correctness; most production vikings seem to be on the UPPER limits. Usually i dont care too much, but is this "tiny" sword plausible as a viking sword? Answers appreciated...

Thanks a lot! I like it that the tip is flat and has no center ridge; only other ones i know are Albion and DelTin. So the only thing to desire is pommel construction... ;-) Who does those typical two-part pommels?
