Nah, the ATrims were my purchases funded mostly by my sales here.

I really like that. Almost bought this one myself a few times. Wish my wife would purchase me a blade sometime. But she's busy making sure my balls are in her purse.
I now have 2 things made by Purna of GGK - a scimitar and this khukuri. I'm extremely impressed by both of them.
I've been working on getting my wife into the hobby. She already claimed my Tod Cutler rondel as her own. We have a "custom" wakizashi (hers) and katana (mine) from Swords of Northshire on order (not my first choice, honestly, but she liked the choices they offer). And now she's thinking about getting an APOC Wasteland Gladius.

I think I like your wife better than mine! No, I don't mean that.
I love my wife unconditionally. I prefer her to anybody. But she doesn't dig swords, she sees them as a drag on our budget.
You've got something special there.

Another copy & paste from Holgers FB group: "It is amazing what Ryan Sword can achieve for 350 USD... A fully functional Atlantean sword with a 1095 high carbon steel blade with considerable distal taper (6 mm at ricasso, 3 mm after the fuller, 1 - 2 mm right before the tip), wonderfully even grind and sharpening jobs, singing nicely when struck, a SOLID handle construction (hello Windlass!) and solid (yet hollow → weight!) brass fittings. This is about the lightest Atlantean on the market - only 2,2 kg! Thats still pretty heavy for a bastard sword (by dimensions), but against the Albion at 3,7 kg and the Windlass at 3,6 kg it has a very nice handling with two hands. Its even a lot lighter than my Ryan prototype from 6 years back at 3 kg. Nice work over there, guys..."

Ah yes, I wonder who helped them with that? I wonder who provided them with the specs for it to be lighter? 🤔 Perhaps the same person that got the very first of the new prototype design? 😏 Clarification: I just think it's sort of in bad taste that someone approaches you for a self-spec'd, improved handling, private custom version(Never meant to be for sale by the way), you make it your new regular model like it's a stroke of your genius(All props go to Jody Samson anyway) with no mention of anything. As far as I know, if you go to any of these forges with an idea/part, not long after it's no longer a one off ;p. Same for industry parts.

Do you know who deserves credit for this, aside from the late Jody Samson, whose work was amazing

I hear you bro, I just think something like this would have shown a little more appreciation " We took input from a valued customer to help create the lightest functional homage of the Legendary Jody Samson design" yes, that should be how, but I think they don't to avoid lawsuits or something.

Hm... Holger says the info that this one was available was posted in his FB group by a guy named Jim Dell, who also gave them the specs; but they made a 1095 mono steel while he wanted a folded one. So a special offer was made. List price is also $450 at Ryan, so i cant say much else.
